Hello, thanks for visiting my topic. I got a very serious trouble, cannot use Vulkan launcher (otherwise using standard launcher game starts to freeze 2 times in minute for 5-10 seconds). I dont know whats happened, just in one day problem came from nowhere.
I tried to do everything, revised the entire Google, YouTube and official troubleshooting manuals, played with version on GPU drivers, reinstalled few times, i did everything that possible but still problem exists.
Im using clear version, no mods/addons.
Installed fresh Windous 10 (including last update), I do not use any complex programs that could conflict with the game
Hardware
I5 6400
GTX 970
Ram 8GB
Thank you for your attention !
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@Martinez412022 Hi, and welcome to the forum !
I've taken note of your report, and I'm sorry to hear that a launch Issue prevents you from enjoying Ghost Recon Breakpoint !
In order to isolate the problem, I invite you to let us know the following : Did something specific happen on the PC shortly before the Issue started, such as a new peripheral / app ?
How much VRAM does the GTX 970 in your PC have ?
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to share additional details, or if you have questions !
@Martinez412022 You mentioned installing a fresh copy of Windows, did the problem arise before this install or soon after? please explain further, more so because I know that after a fresh install we tend to forget things to get up to date whether it be audio & video drivers, ethernet drivers, chipset drivers, motherboard drivers, etc, etc. and well, that can complicate things.
Now, if the problem arose one day and because you were trying things to fix the issue you went ahead and installed a fresh copy of Windows, well, that is just brutal and way overdoing it lol, but still, things like this need to be explained so people get a better idea of what is going on and try to help.
Your rig is dated but still good enough to play this game for sure.
@GiveMeTactical Windows was updated yesterday. I thought it can solve problem. Problem exists aprox. 2 month.
OK so it wasn't a fresh install of windows but an update to windows. OK, check!
Now, perhaps you are not aware that both Wildlands and Breakpoint are having server issues, you can get lock and freezes at random moments and there is nothing you can do because the problem is with UBI and NOT your computer is dated but good enough to play the game for sure and if you didn't do anything strange to your rig then I don't have a better solution for you but I am sure someone will chime in that remembers if there was a solution to the Vulkan problem.
Sorry, had to edit because somehow some things I typed got erased when I was last editing the reply.
@Martinez412022 so you want to say that those freezes is because of server ?
Nope, I don't want to say that nor I am saying that. What I am saying is that I know the server is causing issues but not the issues you are having so I rather someone else come in and give a better answer or explanation as I do recall a couple of guys talking about issues with their Vulkan side of things but I do not remember enough to help.
I can't recall if this question was asked before and I do believe it is relevant to you as well:
Did you purchase the game from *Steam*, *Ubi Store* or *Epic Games* ???
If from Steam, my suggestion is to check the Steam Forums and the reason is simple. Most of us here, the few that are left posting/replying to this dying forum come from either Epic or Ubi Store so we have very little knowledge about Steam issues (Steam only started distributing this game in January 2023, almost a year after support for the game had already stopped!) and I know for a fact that a lot of Steam people are having issues (it could be different from yours) but I feel, you will have a better recourse there than you will here, less so if the CMs haven't found an answer for you.
Ok and are you trying to play it from the Desktop Icon that was placed on the desktop when you initially installed it?
If so, do me a favor and go to the installed directory and try to Right Click on the Vulkan executable (mine is on "C:\Program Files\Epic Games\GhostReconBreakpoint\GRB_vulkan.exe" . IDK where yours will be but I am sure you can check that on Connect), and use Run as an Administrator from there to see if you get the same results.
I am just curious as to what will happen, I am in no way telling you this is the solution but I have seen where the desktop icons place there by the initial install, sometimes, gives a bit of a headache in some games. It happened to me when I got OGR from Steam, no matter what I would try, the game would not open until I went directly to the installed source and send a copy of it to the desktop from there. But again, this may not be your issue.
