Ok so we are not even going to touch on the mission about "The Big One" for obvious reasons but I don't know if my brain didn't allow me to react before when I was doing the missions or if it decided not to care and just soldier on with them. with all of this ruckus regarding server issues, etc, etc, I decided to start my 3rd slot just doing the challenges and testing stuff for the members that were having issues and well, I have done all classes up to Challenge 10 because the 10 ~ 20 in Golem Island are, well, again, Meh!

So instead I decided to start doing challenges and if I was close to a mission or a side mission I would start it. Right now I am doing a side mission that is called "Bring your Own" and it is all about Bad Moonshine??? So they have made me drive, walk and fast travel to discover who is making the bad booze and why? I am not done with the mission yet so I am going to cut it short and hope that you guys chime in regarding this or some of the other quirky missions in the game.

I do this in hopes that if the Studio really cares what we think or want and learn their lesson if indeed there will be another AAA GR game, to make it RATED R or M but not just cause of the cuss words but because of the missions. Remember, less is more when done right.

P.S: Ok, so I finally get to the end of the side mission and I have to blow up the barrels of booze and then wait for the 2 bandits' culprit of such a crime of humanity.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I will like to apologize to everyone that got upset or insulted when I said that this game was not a Ghost Recon game. Tonight I was fortunate to come across what I could only call "The Pinnacle of all Ghost Recon Missions" It was in Infinity and it was "Natural Medicine".

In short, Nomad and his gang of Hooligans are tasked with a mission that I can only put on par with "The Big One" (another of the more arduous and hardest hair pulling & sweat bullets a mature grown man can do), anyways, in this episode of the Price is Right Nomad finds himself talking to two ladies who, are perhaps a little low on the sexual healing department and they appear to be looking to make some herbal tea with some natural herbs so they ask Nomad to go thru an almost mission impossible by getting them some 5 Star flowers. I can only tell you that I was so immersed in the mission that all of a sudden I jumped from my couch and went looking for food, I was that hungry. Oh and scared as well, I mean, who wouldn't, right?

To the Dev or Devs, I can only imagine 1 guy is not enough to come up with such an exceptional, grounded, and mature mission, so again, to those guys, my sincere praises for putting all of your effort and pride, I will, ok, we will never forget it nor we stop thanking Ubi for hiring you to work on this masterpiece of a mission.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Back in the day when the vanilla game was just launched, well, actually after the immersive experience came out (wink, wink) I started to play the game. When it got to Maurice Fox trying to save Ayanna Puri's mission I kill yellowtail (I believe is the name of that Ghost?) purely by mistake and/or luck (take your pick). All I know is that it wasn't on purpose, I came out of the door running like a bat out of hell thinking he/she was going to run to a Helo or something and nope, it was waiting for me in the stairs running to the top floor. I felt like something was missing, like this couldn't be the end of the dude or dudette, like I needed to get some info with a little rough-a-bility done to him/her for killing Fox but, I never knew one could reset and redo the mission until lately.

At any rate, this time around (on my 3rd slot) I am doing class challenges + whatever mission is nearby while free roaming to make it a bit less monotonous or repetitive so this time around, I thought, OK, let's mourn the death of Fox later and let me catch/grab him/her (is this a dude or a dudette? I am just going to call him he!), and pump him out for some more info. Well, to make a long story short, the 1st time I tried to be as sneaky as one can w/o killing or alerting the enemy (I had forgotten about the mission due to being a while, 2 or 3 years? since I did it), so that did not go well because peeking out of the top door where you come out, enemies were around the dude and 2 helos came out of nowhere and I was done because I was trying against all odds to throw a Banger and it wasn't making any effect on the guy, while also tying to down the helos and the enemy.

Ok, so second try I do away with all the enemies first, even the Radio Caller, thinking that if I got rid of him, there won't be any reinforcements. Well, how wrong was I you ask? very, very wrong because a couple/few heavies are guarding him and possibly a couple of enemies as well plus of course, the helos and I were in the middle of the floor between taking cover from where you get out to the stairs where he is so (no cover).

The third time is the charm they say and rinse and repeat with the initial enemies, get to the door, let him see me, and wait for everyone to approach and get rid of them, Fury (I think that is the girl's name!) helps get rid of the enemies that are not close and I am tired of dealing with this already so I don't care to cheat a bit. Throw my first Banger, he acts like he can't see only for him to get up right when I am on top of him and yes, I can't grab him but he sure as crap can down me. I am pressing the SPACEBAR to die because the last thing I want is fury putting a bullet onto him but the SPACEBAR does not work so she comes to my rescue and there is a moment while she is reviving you when you can move the camera around and the dude is right smack dab in front of me pointing his weapon on me (have we spoken about how glorious and full of pride and effort from the Devs this moment is, which BTWs, happens more times than not? No, we have not! ok, we will leave it for another day then!). I am sweating bullets cursing Fury all the way to Alaska and by a miracle, I am able to get up and just spam the " E " button on my KB and I finally grab him.

Yeah, don't applaud or anything because I still don't know how I didn't die and had to start the whole mission a-ga-in doh!

At the end of the grabbing him, the only options are "take the intel" or "Knockout", which is the moment where anger sets in because killing him from the beginning would have accomplished the same thing which was "take the intel". Oh well, I did enjoy taking down paper targets though.

I know we have had discussions about the missions before but that was in the old forums, besides, it isn't like there is any new news to talk about so why not refresh your fondest mission memories, right?

That " Ghost of the Past " mission, is another doozy mission on par with the Big One and the Natural Medicine but perhaps even more annoying/egregious because here, you not only have to go to different types of provinces (wasting just time) to get the info but you have to interact with those guys that due to you having a crystal ball is why you understand what they were NOT saying.

You do have to respect the fact that those people are trying to keep the conversations short.

Guys, if there will be another GR game under your umbrella, please, please, pretty please with a cherry on top, no more going back and forth to Erewhom to talk to This guy or the other guy to start a mission. That is why Radio were invented and clearly, they have those. hell, they have computer geniuses so there shouldn't be a lack of technology there.

This also should be a No-No for a grounded & mature shooter game. Any game, let alone a proper GR game.

It really does get annoying in a hurry and thank God this is a Rated G forum, otherwise! 😊

I don't recall having to go to the "Objectives Board" and check the Aurora Archipelago Missions every freaking time I found a clue to get to finally put the mission to bed. Aside from the fact that it is just a waste of time because they could have easily shown you right there and then continue to point out where the next clue will be.

I won't bother asking for you to respond to how cheese most of these missions are because, well, that has been done to death and I see nobody left here wants to participate in what we have regurgitated time and time again previously but again, this is something new and I don't mind saying that it is annoying to no end.
