  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hi @n1Ght-ROG apologies for the late response.

    I'm also sorry to hear that your PC crashes after launching the game.

    Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through all the steps listed then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.

    Please confirm if this resolves the issue.

    @Ubi-Keo I tried all the troubleshooting from the forum and from the internet available.
    i gave all the permission to GRB.exe - GRB_BE - GRB_vulkan. even run application to compatible mode (win 8), run program with admin
    some times when i run game it shows specific file path cannot be accessed due to permission.
    Recently I found that antivirus detected some issue saying GRB_vulkan has threat "ExploitROPGadgetAttack" and blocked the action.

    I had a post with a solution or some solutions and I asked the CMs to STICKY the post since it had to do with the people purchasing the game from STEAM but I don't know what page is it now. I am not going to say that the post was the savior all of you guys from steam are waiting for but it was better than most solutions I have seen to date.

    I am not going to search for it but if you feel like doing so, I do hope it helps @n1Ght-ROG

    Hey @n1Ght-ROG

    Can you try adding the game or Ubisoft Connect to like a whitelist in your antivirus settings?

    @Ubi-Froggard I already added steam library of C and D drive to allow list in antivirus. Also added GRB, GRB_BE and GRB_vulkan to allow list individually.
    also have all 3 exe files all the possible permissions from properties.
    either the game wont start and show the error that "cannot access to specified file path" due to long file path I cannot see what file it is
    but it is show "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint" can see upto this and as per my guess its GRB_BE or GRB_vulkan.
    either this error pops up or my PC crashes saying some error occured.

    @n1Ght-ROG Understood !

    In order to isolate the problem, can you also let us know the name of the antivirus app flagging the Vulkan version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint ?

    Nope, it was in here after a few of you guys were complaining about the Steam issue and I had to go check since Steam wasn't the platform allowed to sell the game when it was new. Like I said, by now it could be on page 10 for all I know.

    Oh and also, I am being honest, I am not saying it was the Steam savior for your problem but it did happen a few times with me with other games and I got them to run.

    See if this link helps.

    CMs, it is a link to the Steam forums so hopefully, you won't dismiss it or give me an infraction for code of conduct or whatever. I am doing it to help others stuck on the Steam side of things and clearly, we don't know anything about that because the game wasn't sold on Steam back when it launched and you guys seem to be in the same boat.

    @GiveMeTactical

    Hey there,

    We wouldn't remove links to anything that might assist our players unless it was for example a direct link to a 3rd party tool that we have no control over. Any links to our Steam forums should be absolutely fine to share here as long as the thread itself doesn't contain something that breaks the rules.

    @n1Ght.ROG

    Hey there,

    Apologies if they're all steps you've already been through, I checked your previous messages and couldn't see this being referenced yet, there's a few suggestions you can find also in the BattlEye support FAQ here: (https://www.battleye.com/support/faq/) that might help to resolve this issue, in particular under the "blocked loading of file" section there's a number of suggestions regarding resolving permissions/file access issues that might help. If any of these steps has helped or not please return to the thread and as GiveMeTactical has mentioned we can highlight or sticky the post with a potential solution.

    Thanks.
