When I try to boot the game it always crashes at the black loading screen after the first green loading screen that says "please wait"
I already completed all the steps in the  basic PC troubleshooting guide + I tried reinstalling the game.

Here are my PC specs:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz  3.79 GHz
RAM: 32 GB
OS: Windows 10 Home
PC: Desktop

Might be a german problem tho, as i only have seen this happen on german windows...

Hi Burly, go into your config and see if you have a string that repeat a gazillion times. It's so long that the game failes to load.

Remove them and the game will start.

Maybe copy the config and call it something else so you can keep you settings if you delete some of them as well.

I have same problem sinc yesterday (5.3.23) where there is classic green background with text wait please and then it jumps to blacks creen with loading logo which stops spinning after about a second and the game will crash.

My pc:

cpu I5 12600
gpu RX 6800 XT
ram 32 GB
Win 11 Pro

This can be caused by two things:
a) You have way too many custom blocks/items saved (and by way too many, I mean like 2-3k+. Remove some and restart the game. Should work properly.)

b) As KillerDog7_7 mentioned, this is caused by a corrupted line in the config.

To fix it, find the config file in your user folder. It can be either C:\Users\you\Documents\Trackmania\Config\Default.json or C:\Users\you\Documents\Trackmania2020\Config\Default.json.

Once you find it, open it with a text editor of your choice (even standard windows notepad will work). Use the search function (CTRL+F) to look for AudioDevice_Oal.

If it has a super long value, remove it and replace it with "AudioDevice_Oal" : "|Device|Default".

Restart the game and it should work properly.

Audio devices with special language specific characters (eg. aęółżźć) will cause this corruption, so leave the Audio Device as default.

@AH-HA-HA-PEKO Thank you. It worked. When I opened that file in notepad the pc froze for a few seconds. i had to open it in visual studio code to remove the whole row.
