Moved Unsolved Rainbow Six Extraction crashing on PC

Is there a solution to the issue of Rainbow Six Extraction crashing on PC upon launching, even after downloading through gamepass/Ubisoft connect? The error message displayed asks for a crash report before closing. My PC specs include an RTX 3060, Intel 11th gen i7, 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, and I'm playing on an ultra-wide monitor.

@HimesTimmerla I had the same issue, went out with doc and did a mission halfway through the game crashed and he is now stuck in limbo and has been there for awhile. I find it idiotic that a crash should cause this, i even tried unistalling and reinstalling the game and he is still there. I also did another mission afetrwards and returned and he is still in limbo. This has to be the worst game ever

Please can you go through the steps in this article first of all, to rule out any of the most common causes.
