Currently, if my teammate is standing beside a red gas canister and I shoot at it to make it explode...
But in the Countdown map (this includes the General Anderson manhunt mission), if I were to shoot a gas canister that's beside my teammate, that teammate will be damaged by the explosion and bleed will be applied to them. Depending on how much status effect they have in their build, they could just end up dying from it. Considering how this behaviour is not consistent to the other content in the game, I assume it's a bug.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hey @AlpineBrisket
Could you provide a screenshot from your friend showing their gear setup in case this has anything to do with it, or ask them to record a clip showing it and showing you shooting the barrel next to them in the same video?
@Ubi-Froggard I've had random teammates in Countdown shoot nearby gas canisters and the explosions end up damaging me. This isn't an issue about builds. However, if you want to know which builds I run in Countdown: Striker, Eclipse, Ongoing Directive, PFE builds.
The issue isn't that a player dies from the explosion; it's that players are getting damaged by environmental explosions that were caused by teammates. If this was the consistent behaviour everywhere else, I wouldn't bring this up but this only happens in Countdown.
Ah I see, my apologies for misunderstanding from the original post.
I'll report this info to the dev team to look into and see if this is intended for some reason.
