Not sure what's going on, but for the last couple of weeks, The Division 2 has become unplayable with constant crashes. The game will play for about 15-20 minutes than hard lock. If I'm lucky I can Ctrl+Alt+Delete and end the game, but more often now, the game will simply hard lock the entire PC requiring a restart.
I also play other games like Cyberpunk 2077, and Mass Effect Legenday Edition and have no issues. This is on a custom built PC with the below specs...
System specs....
Currently running the latest AMD GPU drivers - Adrenalin 22.11.2. Things I've tried...
Clean installing the GPU drivers
Installing the latest AMD GPU drivers - Adrenalin 22.11.2
Verifying the game's files
Removing and reinstalling the game (a few times)
Game has the latest patch - 1.12
Check for hardware/heating issues, None found or noted in Reliability History. Also, no other game I play crashes or lock PC.
OS was clean installed last year so that's out the question, especially since the game ran fine without issue until about two weeks ago when the game just started hard locking.
Yes, the game is legit, I've had it since 2019 when I got it free with my GPU. Yes, the Ubisoft app is installed. At the end of the day the game simply refuses to play without crashing.
Anyone else? Suggestions.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@BioXTC
Thanks, but I see no reason to disable to XMP as I've zero issues with the PC or other games. The only issue is the Division 2 game. BTW, I've been playing this game on this build with XMP enabled since I built the machine in 2019.
Out of curiosity though, I'll run a mem test just to be sure the RAM isn't at issue, which I'm 99.9 sure it isn't.
Appreciate the suggestion though.
So I just ran memory diagnostics in Windows. No RAM issues reported.
Hey @sygnus21
You never know, the suggestion above still may help and be worth a try.
We can get a better look as to what could be causing it by having a look at your system files (DX Diag and MSInfo), but you would need to contact us directly via our support site or social media to receive those from you.
Before you do, please just run through the steps in this article and see if there's anything else you haven't tried yet first of all, just to rule out any of the most common causes of issues on PC.
As mentioned, if you need us to look into this further, please reach out through one of the options below with your system files (mentioned above) attached and also mention what you have tried already, just so that it doesn't get suggested to you again:
Live Chat (when available)
Twitter Direct Message
Facebook Private Message
If contacting on Twitter or Facebook messages, please provide your account username and email, so we can link the chat to a support case so you can attach the files.

Thanks, I actually tried many of those things as I'm also a tech geek and PC builder. In fact besides doing a repair install of the OS, I also tried reverting back to older GPU drivers. What I did find that worked temporarily, was "repairing" the Anti Cheat files, but this seemed to be just a temporary fix as the end the game still continues to crash so I just removed it. I've already gotten my time out of it, so I don't want to waste any more time chasing it. That said, I may revisit it again after a new patch or update comes out.
Whatever causes this seems to have come suddenly because prior to that I never had an issue, and I've had the game since 2019. My only guess left is there was an update to Windows that seems to have affected my game. But I'd rather have an update OS than a game. And as I said, this issue is ONLY with the Division 2 as none of my other games are affected including Cyberpunk 2077 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition to name a few. Even The Witcher 3 works without issue.
In the end nothing I did worked so I just uninstalled the game from the PC.
Thanks.
BTW, this issue is also widely reported over at Reddit and where I got the suggestion to try the anti cheat fix as well as some other suggestions.
Hey @sygnus21
No worries and I'm sorry you've felt like you giving up with the game was for you.
We do see a lot of crash reports and the dev team are aware of some causes and looking into them so hopefully a future update will help with what was causing yours too if you do reinstall it one day, and that you can enjoy the game properly.
