    This thread will mainly be a gradual list of QoL changes for For Honor. Feel free to contribute and discuss but stay away from balance-related topics; there are other threads for that.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old.     Update the Story campaign to the latest build


    The Story campaign doesn't have the latest build of the game. In fact, it is the same build from when the game was released back in Feb 2017. This Isn't good for introducing new players to the game mechanics as it is lacking the CCU and the heroes in it have their old movesets.

    Adapt the Story campaign for Arcade so all chapters can be played with any hero


    While it would be nice to have a new Story campaign that involves the newer heroes from the Year 1 DLC heroes onwards, the next best thing would be allowing players to use any hero in any Story chapter in Arcade. Hidden bosses and more collectibles that unlock lore and concept art for the heroes would be a bonus. This would add value to Marching Fire.

    Add online matchmaking to Arcade


    Online matchmaking for Arcade would save players from needing to use friend invites for co-op. Of course, Arcade would still remain exclusive to Marching Fire owners.

    ADD ONLINE MATCHMAKING TO STORY


    The same reasoning as Arcade, adding online matchmaking to the Story campaign would save players from needing friend invites for co-op. Again, Story would need updating to the latest build of the game to allow players to become better familiar with the game's mechanics.

    Remove the time limit for Battle Passes


    Battle passes are already paid for so the time limit is unnecessary. The passes are purchased for the content, not the limited availability. Removing the time limit would allow new players to purchase old Battle Passes and, thus, more would be sold over time.

    Allow players to simultaneously complete multiple battle pass tracks...


    ...or switch between them at their leisure. This would only be possible if the time limit for Battle Passes were removed.

    Add more value to Battle Bundles


    Correct me where I'm wrong but Battle Bundles are only time savers, they don't add any value to the Battle Pass. The ways value could be added are the following:

    1. Adding a playable story chapter(like the Story Campaign) that tells the story of the season, the new hero, or a hero that wasn't a part of the original Story Campaign. It could include hidden bosses and collectibles such as lore and concept art.
    2. Making Limited-Timed content, including event bundles, permanent for that season.
    3. Including the season's hero skin

    Put more focus on permanent content like maps and game modes


    You may think I'm asking the devs to do more. Actually, in light of what the developers have done in the past, I want them to kill two birds with one stone. Past event game modes have seen changes to Tribute maps that could have been adapted for Dominion.

    Examples include the Dead By Daylight crossover event...



    ...And Oath of Wyverndale.


    Another notable effort for temporary content was the Web of Jorogumo Halloween Event which had the spider-boss battle.


    So, in future, I would like the devs to at least adapt a Tribute map for Dominion while they create an event game mode at the same time. Also, if they are going to put considerable effort into an event game mode again, as they did with Web of Jorogumo, it needs to be geared towards permanent content. To me, channeling that much effort and resources to temporary content makes little sense, especially when players have been asking for new maps and game modes.

    Again, the devs should be trying to adapt Dominion and Breach maps from Tribute and the Story campaign when they create new event game modes. That way with new seasons we can look forward to new maps as well as cosmetics and heroes.

    Remove the Hero Reputation Cap


    The hero rep cap reduces two things:

    • the increased loot drops rates from leveling up
    • the 100 steel earned with each hero rep


    The first problem is worsened when new armour is released and this puts off many players from reaching max rep with their heroes.

    Removing the cap would address the above issues in this aspect. Not earning any other reward after rep 70 wouldn't be an issue for most players. Although, as an example, earning a new colour swatch for each rep after 70 may not be too difficult to implement. They could start with swatches with metallic or glowing colours to change things up.

    PUT MORE FOCUS ON PERMANENT CONTENT LIKE MAPS AND GAME MODES(cont.)


    Now we have three Tribute maps adapted for Dominion so far...


    The question is, are the devs waiting for more maps to be adapted before releasing these maps permanently or before releasing an alternative Dominion that uses these kinds of maps?
