Unsolved How to remove/discard any mail from Airships?

I have been looking for ways to remove/discard mail in an Airship. Help would be much appreciated.
Or could this be just a design error and absolutely no option to remove mail in an Airship?

The inability to manually remove mail from the airship inventory is a designed balancing feature for the mail system. There is no way to delete it in the way that you want. This is not a bug or a design flaw, it is an intended part of how the mail system works.Official Response
