In a royal match during the intro sequence of a map/the 2min waiting time for players to join, its not possible to acces the chat by pressing enter or t.
However plugins still seem to be able to send messages in the ingamechat during this time.
This issue appeared after the most recent update.

I only use one plugin that is able to interact with the ingame chat, tho its a private plugin that is not on openplanet.
However this issue is unrelated to plugins, it affects all players, also those that arent using any plugins at all.

to my knowledge Im the first person to report this issue. But I can forward this thread to a few other royal players who can confirm that they are also experiencing this issue.

im also experiencing this issue, and at the intro of the match no one really talks to the chat

@Ubi-TheBerry +1 i also cant chat while waiting for players in super royals, same counts for everyone ive talked to on the royal community discord so seems to be a widespread issue

issue came with the helmet design/prestigeskin update

especially annoying since its the main way to let teammates know bonuspoint tactics and so on if your not on a voicecall with them

In super royals during the "Waiting for players" phase i also cant write since the new update.

I am also a player of the royal gamemode and i can say, yes, the chat doesn't work in the pre-match intro, but there are some plugins like the quick chat bar or a map order plugin that works with just a tap of your mouse key

@Ubi-TheBerry I as well have this issue. The chat works all game other than during the map intros and leading up to the race start. Once the race starts chat can be used again until the next map intro. I also asked eyebo about the issue and he was kind enough to say he would send a report in so it’s possible it is already an issue brought up in the system.

I can confirm that I also encounter this bug in every game. It's not possible to chat with the whole lobby, chat with the team, or bring up the chat history, at the start of a round. This is very inconvenient, because in Royal it's useful to strategise with your team before a round starts.

@Ubi-Verse Hi, is there any update on this issue? It's been 2 months, and no word. Royal feels much less alive when people can't talk to each other before the match starts, and makes it difficult to strategise.
