I'd like to quote a post of mine long ago which i can't find anymore.
My previous ideas somehow found a way into the game in one way or another.
Though i'm personally not too fond of all the nanotech/ tech-magic creep happening in Siege so i decided to bring my old concepts up again (Done when Jäger Bandit just lost their Acogs and Tachanka was still a turret so an eternity ago) but which i think are STILL relevant today and i'd like to get hands on. As mentioned, all of the concepts now exist in Siege in one way or another, unfortunately most are kind of nanotech/ gimmicy. I spare you lore and fluff and keep it with the signature values:
Carries 2x Pressurized Steel frames. Place it in windows only to have it clamp itself vertically into the window frame.
The animation would carefully hold a compact package in the middle of the window like a Mira/ Osa panel but it would violently and loudly extend it's pistons through spring or hydraulic pressure.
After the pistons extend in a split second, they get locked in place to clamp itself to the top and bottom of a window, locking it in the middle of a window with 2 long vertical gaps on both sides.
It may be a loud and extreme animation where one may even lose their fingers when holding the device wrong Just so that it communicates that this is a permanent barrier.
He/ she has 2 in stock and requires 1 per normal and 2 for a large window.
Both placed on Consulate CEO windows would block sneaky rappels but not window players from holding the angle. Placed on the cash window and cash-garage window would still leave them dangerous angles for attackers but bloyk easy garage rotations. Unlike Castle, it is for windos- only.
Unable to be placed on anything but vault/ rappel- able windows, it's far more fair than Airuni lazers or Osa shields. (An attacker on 40% hp with no throwables and the complete site locked with Airunis simply makes clutches impossible no matter how much time is left. This device can deny easy window smoke plants but also deny defender movements.
Weapons: Two pump action shotties: The super nova with it's option for a supporessor and the SG CQB with it's vertical grip. Both are SLUG (single projectile) variants and have some magnification options. Damage would be some 100 with a quick dropoff to 60 at 12 meter and then stay in that range, very dangerous for light armor.
SPECIAL: He may run a Gonne 6 on defense.
Places a larger device similar to the old Tachanka turret or a larger Evil eye (Or a ball on a tripod- whatever works). A Trophy system (Like a 360° projector) which detects active enemy electronics and marks their position/ direction via a lazer grid (Can be similar to the X Kairos targeting laser) Main use: Spot hidden drones on site with larger radius, breaching charges or Claymores. No nanotech, no live pings but ingame projected textures.
Funny enough the new defender just got a gadged device- and though it has active gameplay linked to it, the value is 100% lost when that operator dies. It is already memed about as ''worse pulse''.
I think just having a gadged on site to help your anchors against vertical play, hidden drones or sneaky breaches and allow the providing operator to ''just play the game'' after prep phase is what made Jäger so insanely valuable and popular.
Weapons: May runs the K1A from Vigil or SASG-12
Has a makeshift RC car which is useable in preperation phase. (this is inspired more by the old game ''Re Volt'' than black ops tbh)
(Unfortunate prep phase changes for attackers in the meantime) -> Can have an activation key in the preperation phase to ''launch rcXD'' and lock the attacker choice.
Mainly blows up downwards to destroy hatches in the preperation phase or is saved up for later utility clear, distraction, extreme scouting or soft breach.
Weapons: 416-C with an Acog option and a 30 round mag (attacker) (Or 416 as slightly better version of the 416-C)
Alternatively: AR 15.50 (Maverick Dmr)
Example situations: Destroy Consulate(or other map) hatches during prep phase and force a quick re- thinking of old meta setups. Blow up up utility of people who didn't respect the noisey car and placed their stuff carelessly: Rook armor, stacked Thunderbirds or secondary devices like Evil eyes in the prep phase already.
Could be from the Brazilian ACOEA
Loadout supports to entry frag though the wide range of optic choices invite for more cunning plays- like Nomad. Should easily become a soloqueue favorite without being overpowered.
Zero already got Bandit's gun and Flores now has the blow up remote car.
Though i feel like 416-C and a quick, loud and aggressive Rc car with no second chances would still be more fun (than 4 flores drones) Damage to operators would be very little and closer to an impact grenade around/ below it.
Think of the Elite skin option for the mini car.
Can add more detail and pictures if i find them. Let me know.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
