Is there any games like the settlers 2?

I have long waited for a similar game, i my head the settlers 2 is way better than any other settlers game, the settlers 3 is a big downgrade.
I would love a settlers 2 2
but i understand that is impossible, but are there similar games? -
Do you know "The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary"?
It's a 3D remake also known as "The Next Generation" with lovely graphics and some gameplay improvements.
You can get it on GOG and find a widescreen and zoom patch on moddb. There is also a vikings addon and a successor called "Aufbruch der Kulturen" (only in german). -
@Suppressed I do not think there are other so many special games like the settlers 2. The amazing story and graphics that this game offer is just next level. special

@Suppressed How about The Colonists (2018). This game has close mechanic, but it is not a big game for many hours and it has some mechanic problems. Do not expect much.

Valhalla Hills is a building strategy game developed by Funatics and published by Daedalic. It's a game in the tradition of game classics like The Settlers 2 or Cultures.

I know is not the same... But I really enjoyed ANNO 1800.
Focused on single player, lovely grahpics, economy focus, complex dependencies for products production and logistics, it also has some military but simple mechanics everything is about economy.

@Zwoks-Stef FYI regarding The Settlers 2 10th Anniversary. Less than $5 on GOG. You can download player created maps for Settlers 2 onwards ( ie Settlers 3, 4 etc) from https://www.siedler-maps.de/: (https://siedler-maps.de) once you have finished the in-game maps. Quite safe to download. You can even post maps you create yourself. Can create maps by using the map editor.
