Hello, i found this masterpiece a weeks ago, by far the best and most pleasing looter shooter i could play in my life, but still, it feels so empty when i try to find players in matchmaking, am i doing something wrong? the only activity i found with players is the countdown in higher levels.

Also, i tried to make a build focusing on skills for healing, but in higher levels the enemies are just immortal, what should i do at this point? is the game just for crit builds?

hm, I play with Xbox one x and I have no trouble getting a full team quickly. But I don’t play Countdown and Raids, cannot judge this. I play open world and missions, have no trouble to find people.

Most people in endgame are playing on heroic difficulty, unless there is a league running. Use "call for backup" if you want someone to help out. There is a commendation for responding to such requests, so people will often respond. Just make sure to endorse them when the prompt appears.

Healing is a support role for a group rather than solo play, and isn't really necessary on anything below heroic.

You can make skill builds that are powerful though - e.g. four pieces of Eclipse Protocol with the fire chem launcher, or an assault turret/striker drone build with three pieces of Empress International and some combination of Hana-U or Wyvern.

@Zanakeph, @suschunga spoke truth! I would just add that you look for Skill Tier 6 builds in youtube if you are interested in experimenting with those. I am sure they are all well documented in there:)
In terms of finding other ppl to play with, I would recommend you to join/search into discord/clan groups associated to the game (whether from youtube/ twitch streamers or from official channels of the game). Although it is not as populated as it once was, you will find a lot of ppl who still fire up this game in a daily basis, in all platforms.

@Zanakeph It's a 3 year old game and whilst it is labelled as "Live Service" it's not similar to games like Destiny which are constantly getting updates and content. Therefore the majority of players are just faffing about in end game or just come back when there is new content which is planned at the end of this year and throughout 2023.

Just enjoy the game, don't rush through it. If you ever get stuck in an activity the game has a call for backup feature which calls real players (not bots) even though some play like bots, who can help or guide you through an activity.

Just want to thank you all for those suggestions, i'll look further into more tutorials, about the matchmaking i think that devs should look into a better way to handle it, actually it feels really empty and the impression is that the game is full dead, which makes the player retention weak.

@Zanakeph Don't believe everything you here that healing builds are support builds only, you can create a healing build which will also give you decent skill damage and weapon damage but as you are a new'ish player you may not have all of the pieces.
But, when you do, you can try something like:

• Memento backpack
• 2 x Empress
• 2 x Brazos
• 1 x Alps
• 1 x Capacitor or Test Subject
• Technician specialization

The chest you will want to make sure has Kinetic Momentum as this is good for healing and skill damage.
How you setup you build for healing is up to you you can choose the fixer drone or reinforcer chem launcher.
Most players would set the attributes of the build to skill haste/skill damage/repair skills but if your style of gameplay wants you to do more of the shooting then consider adding in crit chance with a combination of repair skills/skill damage. The Capacitor already has 10% crit chance so is really good in this regard.
Finally your mod slots would be Incoming Repairs or Skill Haste.

@GnarlyAtol1793 Not sure. I play on PC and usually find populated activities. Either way, cross play should be implemented in Division 2.

As for the skill 6 build, idk, I can only recommend gear where the core attribute add +1 tier, but I haven't dabbled too much in skill builds.

@Zanakeph There aren't many people leveling up. Once you get to level 40, you'll find everyone waiting for you.

right, cross play would be good. Convinced two friends last year, who play with PC, to buy Division. Both stopped playing it before even reaching level 10 because of the gameplay. But if there would be crossplay I could at least convince them to play with me the campain to the end .

I am not very knowledged about builds at all, didn’t want to spend time which piece is better in which situation, which attribute, perk, mod …. I spent a lot time with that in Division 1 because of PvP and rather like to use my limited time for playing. In Division 1 I have 3 builds only, AR PvE and SMG PvP and my lazy skill build . In Division 1 I had dps only. My 1st and only skill build in Division 2 I prepared when I was at c. 9.000 SHD, if I recall correctly. Had some new friends who occasionally wanted to play legendary, died to much with my AR glass canon PvE build . Now my seeker mines and turret does the job for me when I am “forced“ to play legendary .

I did not say they are "support builds only", just that they are unnecessary for solo play below heroic. That's not to say they're ineffective for solo play, just that they'll be slower to clear a mission than other builds.

For skill build like turret/drone offensive, you need to roll all gear for skill damage and haste, and you should try to get a Waveform and Capacitor, well rolled you can do heroic/legendary, at least in groups for leg.

If go to Google images and search for Division 2 gear sets or Division 2 brandsets there are nice tables out there, just not updated for a while, but it's a starting basis.

Also some nice discord servers on Division 2. Couple of years ago I jumped onto discord and within a week had like 50 people added on friends list. Don't have to join a clan, it was always a mix of people in raids from different clans like an all star. Met some pleasant helpful people who literally showed me everything about raids and dropped loot for me out of kindness.

@GnarlyAtol1793 I really don't understand why Division 2 doesn't have crossplay. I have heard all kinds of different reasons to why, but Division 2 should have crossplay.

@suschunga For you and many it may be unnecessary for gameplay below heroic but the OP has 62 hours of game time so perhaps as he has asked the question he feels it is necessary for him?

@Zanakeph Happy to help. Just play around with different attributes until you get to a place where you feel happy at the level you are playing at.
Over time you will get to understand the mechanics of the missions and open world more and you will likely change your build as you gain more experience.

Best way to grind is on heroic in a group, much faster than Leg and loot is as good. My build is 3 pc Empress , 1 pc Wyvern, Force Multiplier and Waveform, maxed for damage and haste, all mods for haste. Talent on chest is Kinetic Momentum. Proc with Capacitor or Test Subject with Perfect In Sync. The key is to keep rolling and optimizing pieces to max stats.
