I finally managed to get my hands on a PS5 last year--I got lucky in the "Sony lottery" and got an invite to buy, so if anyone is still looking and hasn't signed up with Sony, make sure you do, my Brothers!--and at that time, instead of switching all my current PS4 games to the PS5, I just went with a new PS5 title from a different company (so I don't want to mention the name, but it's about samurai, and it's amazing, btw). So I basically left Valhalla for a while.
The AC showcase/Mirage trailer got me freaky excited about Mirage, though, and I remember Basim from Valhalla, so I decided to load Valhalla into my PS5 and try to figure out how to transfer my save. I figured this process might take a while and involve cords and bringing the PS4 from the bedroom into the living room where the PS5 is, etc etc. So once the game was all loaded, I opened it up, looking for the "Transfer from PS4" option.
Turns out...it's not necessary!! I guess because I'm always logged into my Ubisoft account through my PSes, my PS4 game was already in there, ready to go, as soon as I opened the game! I had the "Continue" option right there, just like I'd been playing on the 5 all along.
This might not be a big deal for some, and it might not be new information for most, but I had no idea that would be the case, and I'm really pleased about it. It saved me a decent amount of time, and possibly some trouble, and I just think it's pretty cool.
So thanks, Ubisoft! That really made it easy for me to pick Valhalla up again, and I genuinely didn't think it was going to be so simple. (If only the controls were as easy to remember/get back into, lol. I keep dodging instead of attacking because my fingers are so used to Hit Square To Attack.)
(I'm excited to see if my old Odyssey save will do the same--I'm guessing it won't, but we'll see, I guess! I hope there's at least some way to transfer it, because I'd hate to lose the 375 hours I put into it.)
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
