Can I remove a game that is linked with a lost steam account from my library and rebuy it so I only need the Ubisoft Connect launcher

Hello,
I have purchased Assassin's creed Black Flag through Steam and The two launchers are linked together.
However, I have lost access to the Steam account that this particular game is linked to and I therefore cannot install nor play it without having logged into my lost Steam account.
My question is this: Is there a way to remove the "Steam" version of the game from my library so I could rebuy it through Ubisoft connect and not have to have the lost Steam account open to play it? -
@dr-bleeder I was under the impression you can play the version on your Ubisoft account anyway. Ie. Do not launch Steam at all. Download the Ubisoft client and you should be able to click and play the version in your Ubisoft library.
