I'm going to attempt to keep this as short as possible, but I have a feeling I wont be able to.


Operator Balancing in this game is at its absolute worst right now. We are seeing operators get nerfed based off of pick rate and win delta, when in reality those statistics don't show how overpowered or underpowered an operator actually is.
example-
The Ash/Zofia nerfs were completely unwarranted. They were both nerfed because they reached the top of the pick and win delta. However, nerfing them based off of that alone is outright lazy. A more thorough approach would be to analyze an operators usefulness in game by actually seeing them in action instead of relying solemnly on vague stat charts. Zofia reached the top of the win delta because Ash got a recoil nerf, therefore making ash players migrate to Zofia (Her being the most similar operator.) The reason Ash was at the top of the pick rate was because of her ability to destroy defender gadgets from a distance, just like Zofia. The game isn't gunplay focused, its very clearly gadget focused. Neither Zofia nor ash have a dps output in the top 5 ARs in the game. And yet they both receive a gun nerf when they are all of a sudden too easy to use. It's not the gun that got them that pick rate, its their ability. What's ironic is that the same win delta they use to (destroy) balance ops with shows that. Fuse has one of the lowest pick rates in the game, yet he has the highest DPS AR in the game as-well. If the game was gunplay focused, Fuze would be at the top. But since he doesn't bring utility that can consistently serve a team a purpose, he never gets picked. Its not Ash or Zofia's fault that they have essential attacker utility in a utility based game. They are able to destroy gadgets from a distance because otherwise attacking would be outright inconceivable. Zofia is a 2 speed operator with an above average at best rifle, with multiple hard counters to her gadget. She cannot wall hack like Pre-nerf lion, she has a subpar firerate for an attacker, she has multiple hard counters, I literally don't see why she would get a nerf in general, let alone her gun. Its completely unfair that you can have smgs that can beam you with a full mag, and then zofia cant shoot more than 3 shots without falling off target.
another thing I want to talk about is Elas upcoming nerf to her shotgun. First of all, Ela is weak right now. She received a nerf to her scorpion 3 times already, so now its extremely difficult to use. her gadget already received a nerf as-well if not twice. Her Shotgun is the only thing going for her. And before I hear someone say to (just tap fire) or something along those lines, she literally has a 40 round mag and a 1080 fire rate for a reason. she cannot reliably be used outside of like 6m gunfights. Once you get that close you're better off using her shotgun, considering its automatic and has a long barrel. In my opinion her shotgun should not be able to perform better at range than a 9mm SMG. Thorn Literally has a 50. AE uzi that doesn't kick in the slightest. And Ela Has Parkinson's disease. Ela was built to play off of her own gadget, to play off of intel and get kills. But she doesn't have the kit to do that any better than any other trap operator. Shes statistically the worst trap operator in the game right now. If it was my decision I would alter Ela Accordingly-
Ela-
-Scorpion EVO A1 Mag size reduced to 30
-Recoil Reduced to match that of the MX4 Storm
-Long Barrel Removed From FO-12
This way she is more aligned with other operators in the sense that she can use a shotgun for close range only, and her scorpion can actually be used in longer range gun fights. However, considering they already nerfed her to the ground, the skill gap on her scorpion remains in the sense that you will have to get a headshot to get the kill.

Dear Rainbow Six: Siege Development Team
I was gutted to boot up the game last week only to discover that the ability to switch weapons between firing modes had been quietly removed.
Switching Fire Rates is in fact what attracted me to the game in the first place. It allows for a range of playing styles, meaning the game can adapt to the preferences of its many fans. It is a feature so few games use.
Consequently, when I discovered it was no longer a part of my game, I felt very disheartened.
I really feel this feature needs to be reinstated for the many players like me who rely on its functionality. Without it, the principal attraction of the game is gone for me.
I certainly hope you'll take this feedback on board and act on it.
