    Hi there,

    We have been starting a new save game, all was going great untill the update game with the new DLC. We keep desyncing in game and it feels like when an milestone in the new world had been reach the desync happens.

    I hope someone has a sollution.

    We have launch a 2-game multiplayers for the new DLC.
    After only 1h, we got several desynch, like 1 every 10min.

    It's the first time this happen, we've played a 4-game multiplayers (with same players) last week and never have a desync.

    How could we help you to investigate this problem ?

    There's a screenshot from the folder "Desynch"
    But they're all empty from files.

    Hello @corstian98 thank you for getting in touch with us about your multiplayer game mode.

    Can you let me know how many other players you're currently playing with your new save? I believe the total number of players able to join is 16.

    Could you also let us know which of all the previous DLC's you have installed and how long has your campaign been played for in your new save?

    If you haven't already done so, I would recommend each player to forward their routers ports to the numbers UDP: 18000 and
    TCP: 18000 to try and help strengthen everyone's connection to our Anno servers. This guide should help explain how >

    @ubi-milky Hi, ty for the response. We have been playing with 3 people for 7/8 hours and 2 hours before the update. We use all the DLC and now also seeds of change DLC.

    Since the new DLC Seed of Change has been launched me and my partner restartet a fresh new map, we have all the dlc's and the cosmetic dlc's, we love the game but sadly with this new update it is been desyncing constantly i a 4 hour game we had like 6 LR40 errors.I dont know if this is a known issue or not but we are hoping it will be solved soon.Thank you!

    Also had this issue. One game with 2 people and one game with 4, just constantly desyncs.
    I've also noticed that the last 2 crashes happened after I reached a new milestone in the New World. We have all the DLCs except for Anarchist, Empire of the Skies and New World Rising.

    It's frustrating having to reload the game every 10 minutes - in addition to that, I can't seem to be able to build anything on the New World, because it triggers a milestone.

    @ubi-milky We are have kinda the same problems in our mutliplayer games. After a certain time (mainly after entering the "new world") the performance is dropping significant and we are getting lags even freezes for a couple of seconds + LR40 errors.

    It cant be a port issue because some of our players are getting the same performance drops and lags/freezes even in singleplayer games.

    We figured out that the lags and freezes occure when trying to build or copie buildings but only when we are playing in an advanced safe. When we starting a new safe and not entering the "new world" everything is working good.

    All of these problems start happening after the last update before that everything was fine even with safes +100.000 residents and all worlds.

    @giggle007 I don't know if this will help you, but I had the same issue where I had 6 crashes within about 2.5h, after that, I verified the local files on both PCs (Go to Uplay/Ubisoft Connect, then click on anno in the game library, go to properties (underneath the start button) and click "verify files" under the tab "local files"). Unfortunately, I didn't find the time to properly test this over a longer period of time but I played 2h without any crashes at all (there was no time spent playing anno between the 2.5h with 6 crashes and the 2h without any crashes => shouldn't be due to an update or similar and all 4.5h were spent on the same day). Like I said, I couldn't test it for a longer period of time but when I launched the game, on my machine it said "installing: directX end user...". I hope this helped you! 😉

    Here to chime in as well, had the same issues since the new DLC dropped. Every 15/20min we experience a desync I didn't think about it but i did start happening after we both unlocked the new world. We are using all DLC (including the new one)

    I am sorry to hear this issue is affecting so many of your multiplayer games. I will forward this to our Anno QA team and devs.

    If you haven't already done so, as @Tekbuildz suggested above, can you please try verifying your game files, to see if this can help with the desync and crashes? This will at least help rule out a corrupted or missing file as a possible cause. Here are some guides explaining how to run this check per launcher >

    @ubi-milky Thanks for your reply!

    Just want to mention that the problem is not just in mutliplayer games, in singleplayer the performance is dropping as well especially after you reach the state of entering the "new world". In safes where you already are in multiple wolrds the performance starting to decreas immediately after launiching the safe, which will cause FPS drops, freezes and crashes. These performance issues will lead into LR40 errors and desync problems in multiplayer games.

    But anyways thank u very much @Ubi-Milky for your help and keep us updated please because its not possible to play Anno 1800 for me and my friends for now 😞

    Hello - me and my friend have had the multiplayer desync error happen many times in a few hours span.



    It began to happen every 10-20 minutes!!



    We literally thought it was cause we needed more ram and even though we each had 16 gigs over overclocked ram.



    So we each went and bought 32 gig ram packages and the disconnects continued - the worst part is we hadn't even changed to seeds of change yet this was our original playthrough that has disconnects happen.

    We have more ram atleast but it sucks cause we really only play this game together.

    Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

    So this has happened before with many different updates to the game. This desync issue always returns without fail. I am in multiplayer with a friend and we are suffering from this famous lr40 desync. We had two desyncs last night and thankfully both were times we were able to recover. We are on an ongoing save that we have been playing on for over a year, this is not a fresh game. We have all DLC on expect for the anarchist? because we didn't choose his AI this time. I don't think we have it in us to start another fresh game at this point. Please get this issued fixed so we can enjoy anno without interruptions.

    Hello All!

    Can confirm, multiple new saves with 2, 3, and 4 person games (3+ hours). All DLC excluding Anarchist. I would say 90% of the time (after someone has reached the new world) if a player makes a large sale, a milestone is achieved, a new session is activated, or a large blueprint is dropped it will desync. This did not happen for us until seeds of change. It is still playable as we have reloaded, but it is frustrating as it seems to be progressively worse the more the game continues.
