Question about pathfinding during Countdown

Alright, it does seem to me like your fireteam is assigned to the closest objective they can reach, and expected to handle it without the other team. This is my assumption, as pathfinding doesn't take you to the other remaining objectives, if your team finishes before the other team's. It does take you to the main objective, when the other team finishes, but the question is: What if the other team needs help to expedite their objective?
Is not having pathfinding to the next objective, or the other team's objective, a bug or a feature?
