I'm unable to get the last shard because a shelf has been put on top of the chest with the shard
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hi Vikings!
I'd like to reach out to you all with an update. The development team have confirmed that this issue wherein the Fairy Pools shard could not be collected after killing the NPC in the quest 'Counting Sheep' should be resolved with the release of Title Update 1.6.2 which is available now. You can read the full patch notes here. Please note that this particular issue is not listed on the patch notes but should have been resolved.
If you are still experience this issue after installing the new update then please don't hesitate to share an update within this thread so we can notify the development team. When sharing a new report, please can you provide us with the a video which shows the following:
I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread.
Can you also ensure that your latest save is uploaded to the cloud. If you are unsure how to do this there is a support article that you can check here.
@bearncuboz Hey there, sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue! The team is aware and working on a fix that should be implemented soon. Please keep an eye on this forum for updates!
After collecting 4 shards in counting sheep, I went to collect the 5th from the lady at fairy pools. After killing her she didn't drop a shard and now I can't complete the quest. What can I do.
I could not collect the bag at Hungladder which I assume is the shards. It marks as a collectible but no option to collect. Reload didn’t help. Then I went to excavation site and same thing.
Hey @kleew13, thanks for reaching out, welcome to forums and sorry to hear about the issue you ran into with 'Counting Sheep' quest.
After having a closer look, I can see that similar instance has been brought up, where players were actually able to collect the shards however despite doing so, the indicators for 2 of the shards remained on the map, therefore could I double-check if this may be exactly as yours or are you certain you were unable to collect them at all?
Let us know and we will take it from there!
After killing the woman at fairy pools the shard never appeared and no option to loot either… I collected all the other shards no problem but now I can’t progress…
Hello and thanks for getting in touch.
Sorry to hear you can not progress with the "Counting sheep" mission.
Could you please go through the Xbox troubleshooting if you haven't already done so and see if that helps.
Should the issue still persists, I would kindly ask you to record a short video and send us a link so we can investigate this further.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Hey @Benjin3021, thanks for reaching out and welcome to forums!
We do have a fix scheduled, however more information will be available closer to the time, therefore apologies about the inconvenience this may have caused for the time being and keep an eye on forums for any updates!
In the meantime, should you happen to run into any other difficulties or have any queries, feel free to drop us a message at any time!
I can't get the shard after killing old woman. That is the my last shard.. I can't continue the quest.. What can I do?
Hello everyone, thanks for letting us know of your experience with collecting shards in 'Counting Sheep'.
We understand that this mission can bug or appear bugged for some players, who are unable to interact with the shard, or where the shard may remain on the map after collection. We are planning a fix in an upcoming update for this particular issue. We will do our best to update you in the forum when we know more. In the meantime, please keep checking our patch notes for the game when it is next updated. Thank you for your patience
I went to collect the shard at the fairy pool, then fought and killed the lady but never got the shard. Unable to progress.
Hi @bonzai-TREE @crenius @DGM1992 @Jiebruce2 @RIDAFA
I have created a new thread for this issue. I can confirm that other players have reported it and the development team are investigating.
As some of you posted this issue a while ago I just wanted to check with you if the issue persists?
On the counting sheep quest in Isle of skye, if you kill the old woman to collect her shard it doesn't drop. Quest becomes completely unplayable. I have scoured the forum and reddit for a solution and found that people have only been able to load an old save (it's too late for me to do that.) I've seen devs acknowledge players reporting this bug in multiple places but im yet to even see any confirmation that it's being worked on. There was even a similar glitch about this quest reported in one thread and somehow that one was recognized and fixed and this one wasn't...Again all you have to do to get this glitch is kill the old woman at the fairy pools. Please fix it's completely unplayable
@mike257r Hello and welcome to the forums. Thank you for the report. The game team is aware of this issue and are investigating. Please confirm that you have uploaded a game save to the cloud and I will add this in my report.
@stanleycupboy Thank you, I do see a save for you! Can you please confirm your platform for me?
