Dear ubisoft I know the release date has changed again for the new settlers. Due to feed back from beta test.but I played beta and settlers franchise for my hole life.the game concept is good and brings settlers to the 2022 market.there are a few things that could help it process and find a middle ground.for instance percific food needed for mines and other buildings.then fancy foods for the buffs from them.bring pigs and cattle to the ranches so they can be used to help them needs and give economic control there fir players that seek that troop are great but introducing a low to high tear troop could work too.so soldier to officer too veteran then elites.each costing more each time to balance that out.plus new troop skins to recognice the difference between the ranks.forester and also the old school small medium and large residence would be great for us old players and new to be honest.also few more troop stiles like cavalry axe men duel ax and sword just to add flavor and freshness.few extra civilisations hours and cart and don't and cart for transporting to markets off allied and to building sites if can make a choice option there.also resource trade for multilayer aa be great help for playing with freinds.each civilization has own troop and and clothing look for that civilization.theres a few ideas I may not get noticed but don't wont to see a gem off a game disappear foundation is good from what I played with them few bits and extra updates threw out game and developing as it goes will go long way.to becoming yet another epic settlers.if do read this appreciate your time todo so hopefully we can still se a march release and hopefully the ideas above in the game.many thanks and kind regards to you all
Michael
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@mickytank No it won't. This are some last minute quick fixes which just fix the superficial problems without addressing the underlying issue. The only thing that Ubisoft can do here now without embarassing themselves is to bring back the old version they had or otherwise Ubisoft will continue to build a reputation as gaming industry which not only stands for wasted potential but also for [censored] up a damn good game. They brought back the original creater of the series Volker Wertich to design the next settlers game (and although many people claim to know better in this forum what a settlers game is than him - which is simply not true - he designed a so well received game just for Ubisoft to throw it overboard to challenge AoE with a game of their own). This entire game as it is now will be a PR nightmare for Ubisoft and it is just going to become worse. When the game will be released the NDA will be lifted (there are some people already leaking their testimony) and then it will come crushing down for them because they managed to butcher a great game for a cheap copy of AoE to challenge AoE. You just can't make this [censored] up.
The only solution to avoid all of this and keep their face is to revert the game as fast as possible back to the alpha version and release it otherwise the time plays against them: The testimony, the reviews, the playerbase - they managed to turn everyone around them. There is not one single positive voice from greater creators or testers (all the reviews on youtube just plain out call this [censored] out). So no! Stop trying to apply quick fixes for something unfixable. It is like trying to apply a new bandage although the patient is rebleeding because of an internal injury. Ubisoft needs to cut of the limb to save the patient and I do not know if Ubisoft is smart enough or has the guts to do it. They have to cut this beta version off ASAP to release the alpha version. Otherwise the game will come out 5% (there have been several questionnaires asked and only 5% indicated that they are willing to buy this) will buy the game and after I give them max 1d they will get bored out of their mind and regret spending 60 bucks for a mobile game which is as deep as a shallow pit of water after a slight rain.
@oldtokken24 Honestly, I have very little hope for this game. I dont understand how devs could ever think this is good enough game to compete with AoE4 .... its ridiculous to think that someone did genuinly think it is comparable. It screams INCOMPETENCE. Such a huge misjudgement is ridiculous. We also know they aimed at creating direct competition to AoE4 with city building twist. Not wanting to be completely pesimistic, i have to say the game COULD get to the desired outcome (their desired outcome) if they add the missing complexity because the base of the latest beta build is quite solid in my view. all it lacks is the complexity and ofcourse the lack of generated maps is just....sad, so sad.......
Hi,
Thank you very much for your suggestions, I forwarded them to the team.
Keep the ideas, suggestions and feedback coming.
Cheers,
Ubi-Barbalatu
@ubi-barbalatu Well, I'm glad to hear that you're ready to hear more ideas for the future of the game.
If you want ideas and suggestions, I might do my own take on it.
Criticism is one thing, but proposal and suggestions are much better.
I also hope you were able to properly feedback the team on the overall feeling that the alpha of 2020 was much better than the closed beta ? Especially on a Settlers fans point of view.
One last thing, will there be a dialog between the community and the dev team on the choices that will be made ? I heard the german forum is asking a lot about it.
Can't wait to hear more about your future roadmap ^^
