Hello everyone, sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with the Jotun warriors.

Can anyone who experiences this, please link a video clip to this thread so we can see this not taking effect, in the expansion?

Are you also able to list the exact names of weapons and skills you have tried so far to damage these enemies?

-If you are using a Windows 10/11 PC, you should be able to record a clip using the free Xbox Gamebar overlay, using the Windows and G key, then select the capture/record option. You can then upload this to a website such as Youtube/Imgur/Twitter and post the URL link to view.

-Xbox and PlayStation consoles should give you an option to record a clip using the share button on your controller, then your console will ask if you would like to upload this to YouTube or Twitter, where you can then share the URL link with us, for us to be able to view.

I've merged two threads together about being unable to defeat Jotun Warriors as they're considered friendly, and therefore cannot be harmed, into a single thread. I apologise if any ongoing discussion has been disrupted by this merge. Creating a single thread helps us to keep all information and updates from an investigation in an easy-to-find place.

I'm sorry to hear that a number of you are having trouble defeating Jotun enemies in-game. I've shared the reports that have already been provided within this thread to the dedicated teams for further investigation. Thanks to @TYUHYUN & @thml7 for providing videos with your reports, as this is very helpful for the investigation!

If you have been affected by this issue, would you be able to provide us with the following information:

• Are you unable to harm certain Jotun, or all Jotun?
• Which areas does this issue occur in? Please be as specific as possible, as this information will be helpful during investigation.
• What were you doing at the time (such as progressing in a quest, completing a mystery or raid, or just exploring)?
• How have you tried to damage these enemies? Has anything been successful?
• Have you tried using the "Power of Musphelheim" to defeat these foes? A number of players have reported that using this ability allowed them to harm Jotuns in the area.
• Please can you provide a video that shows you're unable to harm the Jotuns. If you can show you location in-world, that would also be helpful.

I'd recommend uploading this video to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread we can take a closer look at.

@StroppyDrake500, @T3h_Reaper, @yaoyao_3026 & @AC-Bratton - Would you be able to provide us with any of the information requested above, specifically a video that shows the Jotuns cannot be damaged? We can then forward these to the dedicated teams for a closer look.

@T3h_Reaper & @TYUHYUN - Thanks for providing us with all of the requested information! I'd also like to thank you again, @TYUHYUN, for all the videos you've taken the time to capture. This is very helpful for the investigation! I've also passed on your video showing that visiting the Pit of Slaughter location allowed you to harm Jotun foes again!

@thml7 - Thanks for sharing an update with us, and for letting us know that you've been able to successfully complete the "Dawn of Ragnarok" expansion! Congrats! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the little "Lord of the Rings" easter egg as well Rest assured that the dedicated teams are looking into why some of your are having trouble defeating Jotun enemies in-game, and any future updates from the investigation will be made available within this thread.

@wholeone3 - Thanks for sharing how this issue was resolved in your game! I'm glad that this workaround has already helped out @TYUHYUN!

If you have had trouble harming Jotuns in your game, would you be able to try the steps suggested by @wholeone3? @TYUHYUN has also included a helpful video of the location as well that you can check out for reference!

After clearing the riddle "Pit of Slaughter" in Jotunheim, Jotun of all worlds becomes hostile.
