Wolf(Jotun) is recognized as a friendly group. So even if they find me, they don't attack me.
Various attempts were made to inflict damage, such as wielding weapons and shooting arrows, but to no avail.
They don't get any damage at all.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello there,
As we haven't had any further reports of issues persisting with friendly Jotuns since the release of TU 1.5.1, we will now be locking this thread.
If you encounter any trouble with defeating enemies, please don't hesitate to create a new thread and our team will look into this further. When creating a new thread, please ensure that you include a video of the issue you're encountering, as this will be helpful for further investigation.
Thanks!
To put it simply, I can't kill any Jotun warrior, including the ones in Raid camps.
In my game every time I try to hit them, my weapon goes right through them as if the are ghosts, and they don't see me either, it's like I'm invisible to them.
@thml7 same!!!! Idk why it's like this I have had this issues in the past and it doesn't ubisoft has addressed it
Hello everyone, sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with the Jotun warriors.
Can anyone who experiences this, please link a video clip to this thread so we can see this not taking effect, in the expansion?
Are you also able to list the exact names of weapons and skills you have tried so far to damage these enemies?
-If you are using a Windows 10/11 PC, you should be able to record a clip using the free Xbox Gamebar overlay, using the Windows and G key, then select the capture/record option. You can then upload this to a website such as Youtube/Imgur/Twitter and post the URL link to view.
-Xbox and PlayStation consoles should give you an option to record a clip using the share button on your controller, then your console will ask if you would like to upload this to YouTube or Twitter, where you can then share the URL link with us, for us to be able to view.
@ubi-milky
I am also having this issue
I thought at first it was a bug with the wolf form Jotun, but its actually all of them. They are non-hostile, they don't acknowledge you exist, if you hit them, they react sometimes, but take no damage.
If you use the ability that turns you into a Muspel, it sometimes allows you to hit them, but not always.
I have been using multiple weapons and every skill at my disposal to try and hurt them, and nothing works consistently
Hello Vikings,
Thank you for providing us with an update on this issue.
@T3h_Reaper and @thml7 - can you please confirm how far in the story of the expansion are you at the moment? Can you please provide us with your map screenshots along with your active quests, so we can investigate it further?
Many thanks and apologies for any inconvenience caused by this. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
I have the same problem now. It even made me can't finish the main mission "Malvigr".
all Jotuns are marked as friendly group. I can see them, but Jotun doesn't seem to see me.
Jotun can only be killed using the "Power of Muspelheim" or "Knockback Arrow" or "Split Shot" abilities. If it's a raid, the Jomsvikings will kill Jotun instead.
• In the case of Power of Musselheim, the assassination kills almost definitively. However, when wielding a weapon, damage may or may not go in..
Hello there!
I've merged two threads together about being unable to defeat Jotun Warriors as they're considered friendly, and therefore cannot be harmed, into a single thread. I apologise if any ongoing discussion has been disrupted by this merge. Creating a single thread helps us to keep all information and updates from an investigation in an easy-to-find place.
I'm sorry to hear that a number of you are having trouble defeating Jotun enemies in-game. I've shared the reports that have already been provided within this thread to the dedicated teams for further investigation. Thanks to @TYUHYUN & @thml7 for providing videos with your reports, as this is very helpful for the investigation!
If you have been affected by this issue, would you be able to provide us with the following information:
I'd recommend uploading this video to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread we can take a closer look at.
@StroppyDrake500, @T3h_Reaper, @yaoyao_3026 & @AC-Bratton - Would you be able to provide us with any of the information requested above, specifically a video that shows the Jotuns cannot be damaged? We can then forward these to the dedicated teams for a closer look.
Thanks!
@ubi-mark I finished the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion. It's was a pain not being able to kill any Jotun through normal combat, I had to use the "muspel power" to stealth assassinate them. It's very concerning cause apparently there is more story to come in the future, this needs fixing ASAP.
Today I realized that even in the Valkyrie Arena, the Jotuns in there can't be killed, so I had to use the "power of rebirth" to resurrect the Muspels so they could kill the Jotun for me.
Very messy LOL!
But aside from that I had a great time playing this dlc. It has some very special moments, the LOTR easter egg was hilarious.
I'm not sure if this will help, but from what I remember, this also happens in Asgard and Jotunheim.
I can't remember exactly when, but it was a few months ago when I had a mission to kill Jotun as a Ubisoft Connect weekly challenge.
I remember seeing this bug on some Jotuns back then. At that time, I didn't think this was a bug. Not all Jotun were like that, so I just ignored it...
• Are you unable to harm certain Jotun, or all Jotun? Which areas does this issue occur in?
· Asgard, Svartalfheim - all Jotun
· Jotunheim - Jotun in a bound or restricted area
Asgard and Svartalfheim all have this problem with Jotun.
Jotunheim usually has this problem with Jotuns in bound and restricted areas.

@wholeone3
Sadly, I've already completed "Pit of Slaughter" a long time ago. Maybe December 2020...?
(+) edit : When I went to the "Pit of Slaughter" place again, I checked that the bug was resolved.
Thank you for the information.
Hello there,
Thank you for continuing to update this thread with your experiences of being unable to harm Jotun enemies. I can confirm that the dedicated teams have been notified about this issue occurring in-game, and are investigating further.
If you have encountered this issue in your own game, please can you provide us with as much of the following information as possible:
I'd recommend uploading this video to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread we can take a closer look at.
@T3h_Reaper & @TYUHYUN - Thanks for providing us with all of the requested information! I'd also like to thank you again, @TYUHYUN, for all the videos you've taken the time to capture. This is very helpful for the investigation! I've also passed on your video showing that visiting the Pit of Slaughter location allowed you to harm Jotun foes again!
@thml7 - Thanks for sharing an update with us, and for letting us know that you've been able to successfully complete the "Dawn of Ragnarok" expansion! Congrats! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the little "Lord of the Rings" easter egg as well
Rest assured that the dedicated teams are looking into why some of your are having trouble defeating Jotun enemies in-game, and any future updates from the investigation will be made available within this thread.
@wholeone3 - Thanks for sharing how this issue was resolved in your game! I'm glad that this workaround has already helped out @TYUHYUN!
If you have had trouble harming Jotuns in your game, would you be able to try the steps suggested by @wholeone3? @TYUHYUN has also included a helpful video of the location as well that you can check out for reference!
After clearing the riddle "Pit of Slaughter" in Jotunheim, Jotun of all worlds becomes hostile.
Thanks!
Still have problems harming Jotuns... already tried @wholeone3 workaround (did the same like @TYUHYUN cuz i already had done that riddle long ago)
