Call me garbage at this game, call me unskilled and much too inexperienced, just don't call me having a good time while in active combat unsuppressed; because then I would have to correct you.

The simple fact that the avatar's head will in most cases block the view of the "crosshair"/where the gun is actually pointed blows my fing mind. How am I expected to shoot and aim when my player's head and goggles block the actual line of fire??? Turn HUD off and, I swear, the true design of the game is exposed. Not all that great.

And look, I'm not here to only complain on something so seemingly ignorable like the over-the-shoulder-no-(broken)-crosshair-aiming either. It's the AI as well for me. They are just so obviously and predictably programmed to flank you and cram shotgunners down your esophagus as soon as you even glance in another direction: and example of this is when I am suppressing a rifleman with gunfire, and whilst he is in cover I push up, knowing the last thing he will expect is my muzzle about to penetrate his mouth. THEN, out of my literally imperceivable peripheral comes a shotgunner who unloads into my shoulder who just sprinted out in the open out of cover, and was programmed to do so, just because I wasn't looking his direction. It's one dimensional gameplay, and its horrible to experience for this game. I mean, just the shotgunner enemy archetype is hilarious because they are actually suicidal in thought and action, but couple that with their timing and it's just hilariously inconvenient and obviously programmed.

In addition to my rant on enemy flanking, there seems to be a COMPLETE and utter STUPIDITY syndrome programmed inside the brains of our beloved, A.I. teammates: "The Ghosts". Twice was I forced to restart a daily faction mission of downloading codes from an Azrael ( cool concept on that btw) because of my TEAMMATES throwing a frag grenade onto an enemy I shot in the face ten seconds prior, and who's corpse is beginning to ROT next to a frightened and suspicious scientist: thus, blowing up my Azrael, forcing me to restart after trying to take on this challenging base yet AGAIN.

I mean seriously Ubisoft, I understand EXTREME is meant to be just that, but it shouldn't freaking hurt my brain to try and understand why you made the simplest things like shooting adrenaline into your arm, an animation that takes about 7 footsteps of my character to complete. It's far too long. Jus the tiniest things like this really suck you out of any enjoyable experience and scream "we're actually rather inadequate at making enjoyable titles". Going unsuppressed whilst trying to play tactically is, in general, a tall ask for this title. However, when your squadmates (freaking GHOSTS mind you) just let an enemy get in range, then open fire on you, and before you can react, you are on your backside, then it becomes a VERY tall ask, and unenjoyable for the way it was marketed. To top it all off, after getting up, you realize that whole time you were there stargazing at the musky cement ceiling, your teammates hadn't even cleared the room before reviving you. Back on the floor you go, Ghost, once more.

All of these things have already been brought up countless times in countless forum posts, so my objective here is to invoke some sort of professional conviction in the hearts of those professionals still working on this game (if there are any at all). This game is downright painfully mediocre to play at the higher the difficulties and even harder to comprehend is the basic logic of how the developers wanted you to play this game. You go back and watch demos of Wildlands and Breakpoint and you see that this game isn't made to be realistic, tactical in anyway accept the airlift, oops I meant, Tier One gear they strut in. I mean it's insane to me how they even plan to continue to market this title because the teammates are horrible! And guess what so is the story (although in fairness not that bad)! And oh look at that your character struggles to get out of cover when there's a grenade!..and so on, and so on. It's ridiculous just trying to find the value in this game besides dress-up. It's downright embarrassing as a fan of previous titles. The least that Ubisoft can do is address that to the Community's face, either via fixing these gameplay bugs and establishing an effective dialogue or by just owning up and saying, "hey, we suck." NOT adding some (pretty good sometimes) content drops every 3-6 months. Instead, try and attack the gameplay issues with this game that Wildlands, a game years old, managed to master. I mean that game is nowhere near perfect, but I can load it up and play it like a militaristic shooter with heavy tactical elements and have the time of my life? Why can't breakpoint at the very least bask in some of that Bolivian glory? And at least meet the bar?

This is a rant, yes, and a critique, sort of, but most of all its an opportunity for the developers to see firsthand the mistakes made when programming this game (and then essentially reprogramming it). I pray that moving forward with the next game, they understand the nuances of actually making an enjoyable, multi-dimensional, military experience. THAT should be the core of a Ghost Recon title not some half-baked, dress-up crouching simulator: it really isn't something I would be very proud of.
