I'm so glad you went back on this and decided to post-pone the game to give a better experience later on !

This is a good move, the forum feedback from the Beta was less than glowing. I hope the additional time spent puts some of that Settlers 'soul' back into the game, especially the economic workings.
Wishing the developers, artists and programmers all the best with this, and take your time!

A wise decition. If I am allowed to give a little hint. Don't only take the ideas and imaginations of the ubisoft team for the game development.

There is a great community, wich knows the right way, cause they are the one who will bye the game later on

It might not have been easy to do but it was the right call - Now please listen to feedback and bring long awaited features back from the build shown back in 2019 and you will have a good game you can support for years to come. Please if we may ask for an additional favor: please update the community from time to time.

I believe this was a very difficult decision to make!

Anyway, I was very happy and I'm really rooting for the new Settlers to be successful in the future!

This news are honestly such a relieve! For years I and many fans waited for a new Settlers game, which will bring back the passion and feeling of Settlers 2, 3 & 4. Especially after having seen the amazing trailer from 2019. The Beta was a real disappointment. So I am glad to see that the development team listens to the fans and hopefully will work again towards the 2019 edition. I am sure that working hand in hand with the engaging community will be a win-win situation. The fans will love the game and Ubisoft will earn more money. And most importantly the sequel of the Settlers will remain alive:)

Thank you! Now, please, look at the perfection that Anno 1800 is and use that as inspiration. Know your fan base! Get Volker Wertich back on his brain child!

Wow, I am surprised. I was sure the team gave up with the game, but seems I was wrong.
Still, the fact the message speaks about "quality" rather than the design /gameplay itself might mean they will just keep fixing bugs and sprucing up the UI :S

Very understandable. The engine and music stood like a bus. Now, as fans, we hope that the sense of building and upgrading an economy is more exposed. We continue to follow you and are curious about the developments. Good luck!

Thank you Ubisoft for making this Difficult decision. Sadly the Beta version was Extremely underwhelming and not real Settlers game, I hope you guys look at old games like the settlers 2-4 and take ideas from there. Settlers have never been an RTS. And that was one of its strong points.

Anno 1800 was successful because it went back to its roots.

Why do people keep saying The Settlers has never been an RTS? IT IS an RTS and always has been. They've never been purely city builders.

Anyway on topic, probably a wise move to postpone the game...once again. I enjoyed the beta, but its clearly not what was wanted. IE the 2019 version, which looked a lot better. Bring that version out and you've got a winner.

Why do some people just blindly read what people type without trying to understand what they "mean".
You do understand what people mean and why they are upset when they call the latest The Settlers beta more of an RTS like a Settlers game I hope?
Or do they have to explain to you that they mean they are upset that the game is more similar to Starcraft than the old Settlers games?

An example that the Assassin's Creed dev. team could also follow in the future. Fingers crossed.

The current game is very shallow and lacked any dept and imagination. Please return it to the 2019 pre-alpha style, as others have said before. That one looked MUCH better than the current state of the game.

I liked beta, but i have 2 at least for me very important things about this game wath is improtant for me for buy.

1. procedurally generated maps - this MUST BE. Player who know map, resources can very easy win game and beat enemies, very easy, very fast. New generated maps will fix this and I am sure people like this idea and want on every new game new map, new position of resources, where you will spend that time to send prospectors, because on beta I instant send, build road and beat enemies in few minutes, because i know fast what to do and where to go.
2. this is Settlers game, so please let more economy, constructions, buildings, farming, enjoying game ... beta was only fast, rush build army and beat enemy. Every game i played takes max 30 min and i must say I compared Settlers with AoE, so if this want continue idea from Settlers 1, 2, ... let it be as construction, city builder, srategy game, not only fast build army
