    So I’ve beat the game (did all the studies) and I’ve been grinding out on anthill which is now gone. So I started grinding on Maelstrom Protocol for about 3 days now. I got XP once, about 28k XP. After that I haven’t received any XP at all. Not even after surpassing my last level. I don’t get an error message or anything it simply skips the scene where my XP gets added. I just get my regular player XP and then the operator health.

    I go back into Maelstrom and my XP is still at 28k. Nothing has changed and it’s been 3 days of straight grinding. As many times as I’ve played I should maxed out the 95k in XP.

    super frustrating since I completed all the studies and now have nothing to do in the game already.

    I’m playing on Xbox Series X.

    @el_mata_baca_54 Hey there, and welcome to the forums! My apologies for the roadblock you are coming across in progress in Rainbow Six Extraction. We have seen a few similar reports of this behavior happening the Maelstrom. To gather some further information, share back with the Dev Team. Could you please share a short video clip after completing one challenge showing the total XP received and your overall XP not updating for you?

    Same issue. This is maybe the 5th or 6th Maelstrom mode play I've done since this started. Didn't happen until I reached Platinum and has been stuck at 75401 XP for me ever since. I thought the first few times was because I didn't extract successfully, but having just done so, I'm not sure of the issue.

    I have a video clip that I'm ready to upload but trying to so says I don't have permission.

    I wondered if that by playing with a Rank 10 character that perhaps a glitch occurred wherein no additional XP would be added since they were maxed out, but I tried with a lower level character (not in the video) as well with the same results.

    Hey there @shooter_q-veras, thank you for taking the time to share that video, I appreciate it. This is something we will gladly investigate further. From reviewing the video, I am afraid it's hard to tell if the XP was indeed added or not, as we cannot tell what the XP was before starting the protocol. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share a video or some screenshots before starting the protocol. I would also just like to ask some more questions here for our investigation:

    1. Does this happen often?
    2. Are you able to reproduce this at all, or does it just seem to be a random occurrence?
    3. What platform are you playing on? (I understand from the video, it seems like PC, but I would just like confirmation here)


    Additionally, if anyone else has experienced this problem, it would be greatly appreciated if you could answer the questions above, and also share a video demonstrating the following:

    One video, that displays your current XP before starting the Maelstrom Protocol, then another video, demonstrating the end of the Maelstrom Protocol, and displaying that the XP, is still the same as what it was before starting.

    If anyone has any questions regarding the steps above, please do not hesitate to let me know!

    1. Ever since it started at 75401, it has stayed there. So the first and ongoing occurrence I suppose.
    2. I've uploaded a second video showing the start and finish of the issue; since it is ongoing, I'm not sure if you'd call that reproduction.
    3. Yes, PC, through Uconnect with no additional launchers such as Steam or EA.


    Second video link shows starting XP as well as other metrics followed by extraction after incursion with XP gain but no Maelstrom progress:



    Video is processing at the time of this post, but I'm sure it'll be ready to view by the time someone gets to it.

    @ubi-theberry i'm having this same issue. Surprised to read you have no knowledge of any further reports taking into account that in February you said you had seen similar reports.

    I've had to log in to this forum since it's not possible to report this issue through Ubisoft Connect. Live chat is down due to covid-19 security measures and there is no possiblity to forward a message as an email. Maybe you should check that out too.

    In my case, I've been playing Maelstrom Protocol for a while now and I have not moved an inch in progress in this mode since reaching Silver Class, despite scoring anything between 10k - 40k per run. Weekly study which yields 120 RC upon completion does recognize the XP, since I have completed this despite the issue.

    Hope you look seriously into what is clearly a general problem which affects severely the game experience, and recognizing all XP players should be having if it were not for this ongoing issue. I find no reason to play this otherwise.

    Thanks for reaching out to us @marioelperro , my meaning in my previous post is that we haven't had any further reports since those in February, so additional examples of this happening in-game, such as a clip would be requested.

    As for the Support Site, email / live chat support isn't currently available in all regions so some players may be unable to open a ticket.

    In these instances, you're more than welcome to post on the forums or send us a DM via our Facebook or Twitter pages.

    In the meantime, I've noted your experience to the team as they continue to investigate and we'll share updates here when available.

    This has been happening for me as well. I've been playing maelstrom protocol for 2 months straight now and my do will not go above 4120500. I figured once I had a higher score at the end would bump it up a bit but I've been stuck on tier 29 since last month with no progress at all. 2 months later and we are still having the same issue. This needs to be fixed. Also I'm playing on series x

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble with your Maelstrom Protocol XP tracking. Thank you for taking the time to share your report with us.

    The dedicated teams have been notified about this issue and are looking into this further. I've forwarded the information you've shared with us so far to them so they can include it in the ongoing investigation.

    Would you be able to provide a video that shows your XP isn't increasing when taking part in the Maelstrom Protocol? A video showcasing the issue would be very helpful for the investigation! I'd recommend uploading any videos to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread.

    @ubi-theberry Sorry, but are you doing anything about this issue? It has been a month by already and this problem hasn't been fixed. I think it is quite a serious issue taken into account others have spoken about having the same problem and we are talking about the main mode in this game once the player has acquired enough experience. It is extremely frustrating to play a mission and see after it you have not been rewarded. I have been refreshing this page weekly and NOTHING has been said about this. Please take this seriously.

    Hi @marioelperro I have looked into this issue and it appears that the development team have been unable to reproduce the issue so far, but they are still investigating. We also haven't received many reports for this particular issue.

    If possible could you please provide a video that displays your current XP before starting the Maelstrom Protocol, then another video, demonstrating the end of the Maelstrom Protocol, and displaying that the XP, is still the same as what it was before starting.     HAVENT FIXED IT IN 2023. when you vote to replay without watching the slow [censored] xp rewards after you extract with youre team, maelstrom score doesnt update. i still have score of 50k since last week, although my team extracted with roughlt 70k xp.

    If possible could you please provide a video that displays your current XP before starting the Maelstrom Protocol, then another video, demonstrating the end of the Maelstrom Protocol, and displaying that the XP is still the same as what it was before starting. I can then forward this on to the development team to investigate again.

    I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread.
