@kormac67 Or, I could enjoy my life. If I had the time to spend doing that, and I wanted to do that, I would. The point is I didn't need to do that to preserve my game progression and I didn't choose to have to do that to preserve my game progression, but currently options are to clear all the bases again or don't play the game at all. The latter is my preferred option, and I wish it wasn't.
Hi everyone,
Apologies for the late response and thanks for uploading your saves.
I am currently looking into this with the development team and will update you once I have more information.
I just tested this today and yesterday. I knew there was going to be a new insurgency, so i made sure every tiny AA canon, outpost and checkpoint in the last week's area's were taken over. However the bug now still persists, it stayed red after the new insurgency started.
All in all, i only have 2 regions on the entire map that are not red anymore, so i defaulted by playing on the story difficulty otherwise they just one shot me everytime.
Hi @azullFR @fluidn @Guibmaster @konikowy @Kormac67 I have spoken with the development team regarding this issue and they have confirmed that this is working as intended.
They explained that if you only focus on the bases required to complete the Insurgency the remaining ones that are red will stay red until you take over them again.
And when a region is included in the Insurgency its new rank will be replaced with the escalated (red) rank from that week forward.
@Guibmaster Regarding your last post, to confirm you took over the remaining red bases from last weeks Insurgency before this week's Insurgency started and when the new one started those bases you had just taken over changed back to red? And these were in a different region to this weeks Insurgency is that correct?
@ubi-keo
Hello,
They explained that if you only focus on the bases required to complete the Insurgency the remaining ones that are red will stay red until you take over them again.
ok, this is the way it's intended (even if it's not convenient for people who have few time to spend to do it all over again ...)
And when a region is included in the Insurgency its new rank will be replaced with the escalated (red) rank from that week forward.
Does that means that :
Or :
The ennemies from previous insurgency are still at "Red level" (as every week), I don't know if it's intended or not ...
(even if all bases are blue after being re-taken, all the ennemies from the previous insurgency are still at Red Level)
We are facin a bug ?
when a region is no more included in the Insurgency its old rank is still the escalated (red) rank from the week before meanwhile it's not outlined in red anymore ( Previous region not beeing outlined in red is intended, not sure that for the ennemies level still beeing red is intended...).
Can someone clarify this for me, please ?
Can confirm base and checkpoints from 2 weeks (and 1 week) before are still occupied.
Ok, no point in trying if they free themselves at some point apparently.
@ubi-keo
what I found :
I have previously "cleaned" all the map =
Ennemies are red in All regions except :
EL ESTE / CONUCO
ISLA SANTUARIO / QUITO
ISLA SANTUARIO / VENCEJO
So, when the game team says :
And when a region is included in the Insurgency its new rank will be replaced with the escalated (red) rank from that week forward.
this means :
it's intended that all the map will, step by step, have red ennemies exclusively even you take a bunch of time to re-take all places ...
Conclusion : no achievement feeling, no completion feeling = no fun = I'm not not even re-taking what is staying red anymore = really bad game design from my point of view
Maybe is the "no fun" also intended ...
@ubi-keo No, sorry, you misunderstood me or i was unclear.
Let me rephrase what i did and happened: I finished those two insurgency regions before it restarted, then a new insurgency started and ofc the bases stayed liberated, however the region itself stayed "red", so the bases were still liberated but the enemies in this area were still more difficult to kill and kill me easier.
But if i understand you correctly, this is by design. We are all supposed to have red enemies on places that have been an insurgency in the past, even if its not an insurgency anymore right now. And thus our entire map eventually will become red with high level enemies. Am i saying that correct? Even where insurgencies are currently not happening, these area's are supposed to be permanently red if i understand you correctly.
I will just play on easy mode from now on. Since i hate red enemies, they pretty much one shot me despite me being level 20.
@kormac67
at a moment I thought that finishing one insurgency in a region a week, I had the "2 weeks previous" regions back to white and had a kind of "job done" feeling, it is no more the case
Note : I'm wondering if they changed something about this when they made the new "multiple areas insurgencies" and tried to fix the missings AA
(still approximative English, sorry)
Anybody tried what happens if you make a break of a few weeks? Half the map retaken, or do you have to log in to trigger an insurgency?
I still find squashing an insurgency fun, except for the stupid special op.
@ubi-keo When Insurgencies first started, the only bases to be re-taken were those needed to complete the Insurgency. So by completing the Insurgency you were re-taking all the bases that were made hostile again by the Insurgency. That was acceptable as a design and not too large a punishment for not re-taking those bases, nor a big weekly time investment to re-take them all.
It was then changed after a few weeks to this new way of almost a whole zone being made hostile with each Insurgency. The time-cost to re-take them all is much too large now and the punishment for loading into the game and not re-taking them all is to reverse ~20% of game completion.
Thanks for confirming that this is a conscious design choice that is not going to be reconsidered. I'll uninstall.
@kormac67
maybe he was hoping (like me) that the game team will work on giving more satifaction and less frustration to the players
Example : in my case =
The problem is when frustration becomes higher than satisfaction. But for this, people have to play before telling "that's too much for me" (aka : "it's time costing")
A reminder :
in AC Odyssey support, the most frequent asked question to the players was : "do you have fun in playing Odyssey ?", and even if Odyssey was not 100% perfect and had, for a certain time, a lot of bugs, you could see that the game team was taking care of that part of the game ... it seem's that Ubi doesn't care anymore about this.
The insurgencies are pretty boring if you ask me, no reason to go back to far cry 6, other than 1 or 2 hours a week, i rather just have reset the outpost master like previous 6 games and New Game+ from FC5
