Necroing this to thank @Yttermayn for the tip about the "upload" files. I was receiving this error with Assassin's Creed 2, this thread is the top google result and that trick worked perfectly! My game had crashed, so I guess that can corrupt the save files.

Hey there,
By default the default save locations on PC are:
Ubisoft Connect
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\<UbisoftConnectID>\5059
Steam

I assume the file location folder depends on the game? I have 4 folders, 5059, 5271, 11903 and 13504 and I am getting a failure to sync message every time I try and run AC Valhalla. -

Yes, it would be a different number for each game. In the case of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, it is 13504.

@Stevenunbound Please can u help, I've played 40 hrs on stadia and I got on PC but since the saves can't transfer I had to start again.
Now that I started again 2 hours into the game I noticed anytime I tried to go in it showed me the synchronizing error, now I'm scared to continue playing because I can't fix it, I even deleted all my 2hour gameplay save files and it still shows it, someone please help -
Hey there @TECHSHARKS, I'm sorry to see you're having some trouble with your saves!
First, please make sure you follow our troubleshooting guides for issues like this.
To start with, I would recommend reinstalling Ubisoft Connect, make sure you follow the steps in our guide exactly.
After that, you should make sure that Ubisoft Connect is running with administrator privileges, as this is required for the game to save and edit files in the default save location.
Finally, if your save continues getting erased after these steps try turning off cloud save syncornization in Ubisoft Connect, starting a new save file and exiting the game, then turning syncronization back on.
Please let me know if you are still not able to get a save file to stick around for you to play after this.Official Response -

I had the same situation. Just read the logs.

Access rights were missing.

Windows - Security on the folder Ubisoft and child elements, grant full access for each user and group (just to make sure). -

Thanks for sharing this with us.
Have you tried running Connect with admin privileges at all to see if that makes a difference to these errors? Please also ensure that any 3rd part Antivirus/security software you have running that Connect is added to the safe list there as well as it is often the case that they can be more heavy handed than required with file restrictions.Official Response
