Locked Solved [RESOLVED] "Stinky But Deadly" Core Challenge hasn't unlocked | POST HERE

Hello, I already had the swordfish and read that the challenge was back. I just wielded the swordfish . . . but the challenge did not unlock. I am using 1.2.1 right now as I want to finish a couple of things then do something else while ACV updates. Anyone able to advise on ensuring it unlocks? Do I have to kill someone with it?

After thorough investigation, the development team is unable to continue looking into a potential fix as they must focus on issues that have a comparatively higher impact on the gameplay experience.
However, we are able to unlock this challenge for you manually.

@spirantcrayon22 I have update the game to 1.2.2 but the challenge is still locked for me even if I have the swordfish in my inventory

@spirantcrayon22 it's not unlocking for me either, I just gave last three fish to Arth, got Swordfish, equipped it and nothing. Even quitting the game and launching it again didn't help (TU 1.2.2).
It finally unlocked for me, had to check Ubisoft Connect from the game on PS4 (previously I checked the android app). -
I already have the swordfish and the challenge didn't unlock for me.

I just booted 1.2.2 and looked, it hadn't unlocked. I smashed up a few iron ore things with it and didn't get a notification . . .
. . . but it had unlocked when I went to look. -
It still hasn't unlocked for me either. Mastery Challenge content 100% complete (and river raid purchases). Even tried playing it like a guitar. Still not unlocked.

Hello there!
I'm sorry to hear that you have had trouble unlocking "Stinky but Deadly." I was able to retroactively unlock the challenge myself after I defeated a couple of enemies using the sword. The challenge didn't trigger for me, personally, by just equipping the weapon.
Would you be able to try defeating a couple of enemies with the Swordfish equipped as your main weapon? It may take a minute or two for the challenge to update after doing this.
If the challenge still doesn't unlock after trying this, please don't hesitate to update this thread, so we can take a closer look.

@ubi-borealis I probably should have clarified but it is not unlocking. I have killed over a hundred enemies with it, completed 4-5 river raids using ONLY the swordfish, killed neutral enemies (birds, deer, etc.), broken breakable items with it, travelled to numerous locations with it (England, Ireland, etc.). As of this morning, it remains locked and unclaimable.

Thanks for letting me know what you've tried to get the challenge to unlock, @TheeElf. To help the development team to look into this further, would you be able to send us a video that shows the following:
- That you have the Swordfish equipped as your main weapon.
- That after killing an enemy, the challenge remains locked in the Ubisoft Connect Overlay. You can access this from the main game menu.
We can then pass this along to the development team for a closer look.

@ubi-borealis As requested, here's a video of me with the Swordfish equipped as my main weapon (no secondary weapon equipped), killing numerous enemies, and then going into Uconnect to check the Core challenge status again.

@spirantcrayon22 I managed to unlock it yesterday, first try. What I did was equiping the Swordfish in my right hand, left one free and raided eastern monastery in Ulster, Ireland, killed just a few guys and after all the commotion I checked if it was unlocked in overlay and it was. Not sure if it'll work for You, but no harm in trying

In Ubisoft connect, the challenge with handling the sword fish Espadon is not clear, I got all of them clear, even mastery challenge, so 36 on 37. Before mastery challenges I got all of them, cos already got this sword from fish house at ravensthorpe. Since this issue, I handled and killed dozen of enemies to perform this primary challenge AGAIN, and it still not work. Please correct that, lot of players of AC Valhalla got this kind of annoying problem.
