Thank you, Quebec, for doing both Kassandra DLCs for Odyssey and Valhalla.
I have no doubt that they will be excellent. Because of what we know about Kassandra, there are so many stories to tell. Can't wait!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I'm really hyped to see Kassandra again, too. She's one of my favorite character from the series and with temporary immortality, there are a lot of possibilities!

Haven’t played the Valhalla crossover yet but I played the new Kassandra DLC yesterday and it was like revisiting an old friend. It was so nostalgic - all the warm, fuzzy feelings came back, especially with all the references to the base game. It was fun seeing Kass, Barnabas and Herodotus bantering again - I was grinning like an idiot during the cut scenes! Re-learning the controls was like riding a bike - it was instantly more intuitive than Valhalla. The 60 fps is still a welcome addition and it’s a relief to have a functional stealth system again, as in one where the rules are clear and consistent. I‘m still not a fan of how the spear abilities basically act as a substitute for skill and assassin tools which is why I appreciate how in the last act of the story - due to what happens to the spear  - you’re forced to rely on your wits to get through. Thankfully, my build is not abilities based (in fact, I found I only used abilities when I was feeling lazy) and one-shots enemies whether in stealth or open combat but I feel for those who rely on the spear.

Oh, and did I mention that this DLC is polished?! So nice to play an AC game again where you don’t have to reload the app to fix a bug in every session. So nice to play an AC game where you know the quest won’t break on you if you do it out of order. So nice to be rewarded for exploring the map by finding a quest item that assists with a future quest before you’ve even accepted it from the quest givers, as opposed to what we have with Valhalla where you spend ages trying to get into an underground hideout to grab a collectible only to find out it’s inaccessible until you progress the story. Thank you, Quebec, for Odyssey. It truly is one of the best AC games.
