    This has been bugging me for quite some time. When Reda hands out the contract to assassinate someone, I try to make it fast and actually assassinate the person.
    But the next person assassinated by me (and everyone until I actually use other weapons than hidden blade) is rewarded without the assassination bonus.

    I'm not quite sure if it's like this also with avenge quests.

    (And how was I spotted from the grass?)

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    (And how was I spotted from the grass?)

    from what I've seen it's because you used the bow = no more crouched

    for the XP loss, I will have a closer look in my game to seen if it happens to me also, and give you the result here 🙂

    I made a test :

    the exact same quest at the exact same place =

    1. assassinated the 2 friends of the target (2x 75xp)
    2. killed (no assassination) the target (1x 50xp)
    3. went to camp and assassinated the exact same ennemy at the exact same place = 15 XP

    Seems you have a specific issue

    @azullFR you should have assassinated the target in 2nd point to reproduce my issue.
    @TheNorfolkian how about you?

    Sorry, but I tried on my second account, but the broken mechanics didn't let me assassinate him even while "sleeping" ... (I hate this system where the game do assassinations or hits on it's own decision... and with lagging prompts (when there is...) = Total fail 😞

    @bielik01 I have seen this bug when doing the weekly Jomsviking quest from Reda. The solution I found was to sleep arrow the whole group and assassinate everyone EXCEPT the person you’re supposed to assassinate. When you save the target for last, you can get full XP from the other kills. The same situation works if you put your target to sleep in another situation and kill everyone else to get full points.

    @thenorfolkian but after that when you come at some other enemies you can't get the assassination bonus, right?

    @bielik01 Yes... I’ve noticed that when you kill the target first, the other kills have a noticeably lower XP, even when assassinating.

    @azullfr I meant something like this

    Avenge quest are also affected

    @bielik01

    I also noticed this XP theft for the avenge quests from day one they were implemented in the game (but didn't I reported it because of the already numerous bugs...), there as been no change with these quests except for the distance you can see them now (longer than before) and the "constant quest bug" that as been fixed

    With avenge quest : when I see one = I kill everything in the area and then I go to the corpse to start the quest, just to be sure to have all legit XP...

    (Avenge quests = my Eivor is not a viking anymore, not a warrior anymore... just a nobrain bloodthirsty bucher ... 😂 )

    Now, seeing your videos, I remember having also noticed this XP issue with the Reda quests : I suspect that beeing so bored with all these bugs, I putted this one in some of my rubbish bin area somewhere in my brain 😂

    @thenorfolkian that's another thing, the chain assassination... for some reason I never get the assassination bonus for killing enemies like that.
    So why is it even called an assassination if there's no bonus for it?

    Also I don't get it why you get the amount of XP you were getting. The permanent XP boost pack gives extra 50%? That's strange, because what was in second Amazon Prime Pack (booster for 5 hrs), that gives only 15% extra.

    In my case :
    chain assassination finished in the rubbish bin because of the false advertisement :
    once you assassinate the first bot, then you kill (axe throw) the second bot : this has never been a "chain assassination" this is a "kill by axe throwing after an assassination" (15xp, then 10 xp + no more stealth...)

    last time "chain assassination" was doing what Ubi advertise was in Far Cry 3...Far Cry 4 started fake advertisement = same problem as here...
    repetitive false advertisement : I call this a fully intentional lie...
    grrr...

    @bielik01 I used some Helix credits to buy the 50% permanent XP boost from the store a long time ago. There’s one for money too, but I never bothered to get that one. I also never used that 15% booster pack because I already had the 50%.

    On the other comment, it’s not just chain assassination that’s broken, Ubisoft also gutted the streak bonuses that were in Odyssey, which is pretty lame.
