Upgraded my graphics card and did all the stuff Ubisoft told me to - game still crashed at launch before the PSO cache bit.
Followed these instructions and now it is all good:- Go to the game folder
- Go to [bin_plus] folder and COPY all the files
- PASTE the files into the [bin] folder, say yes to replace files
- play game
Don't know why but it works

Exactly the same issue, after the last update. tried to repair and reinstall to no avail. wondering if ubisoft has a thing called QA? apparently not. Tried couple other games from the ubisoft launcher and those work fine, so this is specifically far cry 6 problem.

@vikingdan1992 I changed my Keyboard from ENG(US) to ENG(UK) and now it is working.
If you have multiple keyboards defined, there should be a Keyboard option on the task bar to Select which one to use.
If there is no option, go to PC Settings and select language and there should be an option to add language.
As a software engineer myself, I cannot think of any reason why this has any effect, but it seems to work. -

@laurencejames That's very interesting. I've had this crash, and I'm in the UK using a US layout keyboard as well.

I used to have POL keyboard always, I played the game recently.
Then I don't know why it started to crash right after splash screen.
Changing keyboard layout to US helps all the time, thanks! -

I apologise for the delayed response. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences regarding crashes / black screens experienced following the hot fix released on 16 November, 2021.
I'd like to assure you all that the development team have been investigating this issue further, and that they will be deploying a fix for this issue in a future update. We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update is due to be released. As soon as we have more details to share, they will be posted within this thread and via patch notes within the News & Announcements forum.
I'm glad to hear that the issue has been resolved for a number of you after trying the suggested workarounds. If you began to experience a crash on launch / black screen on launch following the release of this hot fix, please can you try the following steps:- Changing the keyboard language to US International.
- Copying the contents of the bin_plus folder in the install location to the bin folder.
If you are continuing to experience a crash on launch / black screen on launch after trying these steps, I would recommend sharing your report within our dedicated crash / freeze Megathread. This will allow us to investigate your specific crashing issue further, and to look into opening a support ticket for you.

i reinstalled the game, verified game files. my pc is running great with other games, everything is up to date and i still cant play farcry 6. everthing was running great before the vaasd DLC update. when i press continue game the game just closes everytime again. this is very frustating. they better fix this issue soon. let me know if you are having this same problems.

@friendlyfascist - I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing crashes following the November 16 hot fix. Just to confirm, are you experiencing crashes on launch or during loading screens (such as during Special Ops or after fast travelling)? If so, I recommend that you check out this dedicated Megathread for this crashing issue, as we have shared a workaround in here that has resolved the crashes for a number of players.

This must really be fubar, if they can't fix such a far-reaching problem in seven days.
I kinda regret now, that I bought the season pass. -
The game does not work for a long time now. How can UBISOFT take our money for any service?
I did try new installation including Uconnetct... -
the game wouldnt start untill tried midnight0210 trick with the bin_plus files into bin.

I did that and then launched the game from the shortcut in the Bin folder rather than Connect and it worked.
