Is it just me or this Far Cry 6 is extremely boring guys? The materials collected in the world is mostly useless. The supremo is trash (actually i was into the game for 20 hours and had no use of it). Plus the lack of character development is a ultimate let down. Above all, whoever came up with the idea of changing clothes and gears in a FPS worth a Dumbest Mindset award of 2021, well if there is one. damn it i want my money back...

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@dannykao83 I like the fact that there are many ways how to obtain crafting materials - you can either directly collect them or trade them for animal skins/fish and you also get clothes by looting crates and solving crypto chests, which are probably the best collectible addition imo. Though I agree that item collection is quite boring and for that I would recommend turning of item highlights in HUD settings.

Idk what you dont like about clothes... just stick to one set that fits your playstyle.

@dannykao83 All of the gameplay design decisions that were made in the course of developing Far Cry 6 were the wrong ones.

It's not you. The game is a snooze fest compared to the other FC games.

FC6 is the most repetitive episode of the franchise. It's also one of the easiest. While the core mechanics and story are OK, this leads to quickly having the feeling of doing the same thing over and over (insanity, right) and getting the idea that playing after story is over is pointless.

While the DLC was pretty good, it didn't add to the core game. I hope the other 2 DLC's are different, not just the same idea in a different environment.

@dannykao83 Nope. I have about 140 odd hours in this game. I finished the main part at 100hrs and now I'm enjoying exploring the islands picking up FND Cache and Libertad Crates. I also went around and picked up all the crypto crates also all the idols which 4 had to be taken back to an island. There are still lots of fighting as now and again the FND recapture a territory that you have to capture it back. I'm still trying to get the FC helicopter to. I'm still enjoying it.

I don't think the game is boring. I'm addicted to the FC formula and might very well enjoy yet another instalment after this one.

Problem is that political correctness, wokeness etc infecting the game has reached a level of ridiculousness that is indeed truly serious with FC6, and it is the stuff like this the only things that need to go in next tittles.

Oh, and please Ubi, could you please add friggin' prone in FC7?, men it's been some time already since FC2...

I like the game for the most part but it just feels different than the others. I mean when i used to clear a base then the base would be, well cleared. And a few other odd things but it isnt a bad game.

I like that the enemy can retake bases

I really enjoyed the game! It's the post campaign content that is the issue. They need to add the option to reset outposts, then it would add much more replay value to the game.

@flybyme Cool. They just need to add outposts reset then I'll be very satisfied.

i like the game. could it be better? of course. expecting any game to be perfect is unrealistic, and getting angry because it's not is childish.

@omgilovesteak I'm trying to make sense of your comment here.
Did actually clear a FND camp? Because if you did you would have cleared the base and took it over.

@likeapresident My guess is that @Omgilovesteak is referring to the numerous FND bases that are not capturable as military targets. Fort Quito is an example from the start of the game on Quito island. It is a militarized fortress with a troop contingent and alarmed. Yet once disabling the alarm, and killing all the FND troops, it reverts to enemy control with the alarm reset as soon as you leave. There are many such FND facilities throughout the game world.

I agree that it really isn't a patch on some of the earlier games in the series. Too many of the characters were totally unlikable or unrelatable and the few who were any good got killed off (Jonron and el Tigre spring to mind) whereas the woke ones and battlers survive (you know the two woke rap lemons who were included for their diversity box-ticking and their fat lemon mate and the hound-dog of a poet). The story line wasn't bad, although I agree that the clothes changing piece was really lame, and the only supremo I used was the rocket pack as it was great for getting rid of tanks and those pesky helicopters which constantly appear. I have played it through to completion and probably won't go back and replay it again whereas with all the other games in the series I have and continue to do so as they were fun and entertaining.

The bandidos ops are ok but again you would only play them once. The special ops are also okay but again I would probably not play them again. The amigos were unremarkable, apart from the crappy-yappy roller-dog who I never even bothered using. I despised having to go into 3rd person in the camps and hope that Ubisoft don't make that mistake again. This is a FPS - keep it that way.

The Vass DLC was the major disappointment for me though. I liked the story behind it but found the whole process very frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming. The less than subtle joke of having to do the same things again and again being the definition of insanity became boring very quickly and certainly acts as a huge disincentive to playing. I hope the next two DLCs don't also disappoint and aren't a rogue like format where progress can't be saved.

One has to chuckle at the differences in responses, but this illustrates a key point. FC 6 is, perhaps more than any previous FC game, what you make of it. It can be played in many, many different ways.

I also see complaints about things that have been changed via the various patches, but apparently some people missed it. For example a higher difficulty level was added a few months ago; and the ability to replay FND bases once the campaign is won. I'm a half decent FC player and I've got my butt whopped many times.

Then there are the people that complain about surpremos and other 'exotic' weapons. They don't like 'em. Ok, well, don't use them.

Finally, the history of FC games is that with every new release since FC 3, there is the crowd that yells "It needs to change and grow!!!!!!" and the other crowd that chants "I don't like that it changed!!!!".

Truth of the matter is that in deciding to change things up for FC 6 by giving us a government/army to go up against, that necessitated other changes in game play as well. For example, the need to be able to holster a weapon.

FC 6 is not the 'ultimate game'. And UBI tried to change things up and maybe everything isn't a hit. But I find it entertaining - and I play it my way.
