Unsolved Sigurd's challenge not working xbox X

Running acv on xbox x trying to do sword challenge. Put a short sword in each hand, went to thieves warren in glowecestrecire killed all but 1 (approx 32) via my short swords.. reviewed my killed to see how many more needed, only to see none tracked. Put shield in left hand (2nd), went to glowecestre and killed one just to see if I had to kill while only carrying 1 sword. I still show 0 kills out of 50.

PC player here.
It is the same for me. I tried short sword, long sword, dual short swords, dual long, slew dozens enemies, chickens, cows even fish and got only 1 kill registered.
Bow, drinking and assassination challenges work alright and register. -
@bulldog-twb It seems to be tracking for me. Using dual longswords on pc. I believe the "sword" challenge always refer to longswords.

I think the Ubisoft team responsible for challenges has never got the memo that short swords were added to the game

I don't think there is a team. I think some poor intern wrote them down when the game released and now it just cycles through them over and over. -

Time to hire another inter because a lot has changed.
I tried again. Turned out that I have had equipped short sword in main hand and long in secondary instead of both longswords. Sorry, I was tired.
Now I am sporting 2 LONGSWORDS and it is finally registering my kills. -

Yep... that did it.. has to be long swords... sometimes I am a bit like drax... very literal..

Might be because usually in games we have daggers, swords (or one-handed swords) and great/longswords (or two-handed swords). Very rarely we see short swords.
That is why when we see "Sword" our brain automatically picks one-handed/short one as default sword.
Developers themselves can't keep up with what is going on in their game. Wake up Ubisoft! You have had two types of swords in your game for a few months now. -
I reported last time that the challenge description should be changed now that there are two types of swords and got an agreement from one of the support guys.
But this didn't make it into the game apparently. -
