I'm also having this weapon wheel issue on PS5. It started happening right after installing update `v1.05`. For a while I was able to get the weapon wheel to start working again by performing a hot swap of my weapon. It was annoying, but I could still play. But it turns out that little workaround will randomly stop working, and this has rendered the game completely unplayable. I understand bugs happen, and I've endured several with this game (the worst before this one was the game freezing and I couldn't do anything until it would crash 20 minutes later - thankfully that bug appears to be fixed), but this bug is infuriating. PLEASE fix it...

@septiva69 You don't need to go to a Workbench to change your active weapons, you can do it from the Arsenal menu.

On another note, I've only encountered this issue when having a weapon on which I've changed the Rate of Fire. If I then replaced that weapon with something else, the weapon wheel would not be bugged anymore.
But other users say that they didn't change the RoF on their active weapons, so maybe the issue occurs simply if you have weapons that have changeable RoF.
Or maybe it was a coincidence that, for me, the weapon wheel was fixed after removing that specific weapon. Although, I didn't encounter the issue again after swapping all of my weapons to ones that don't have changeable RoF.

@screamhamster have you tried switching the wheel type from hold to toggle in the gameplay settings?

@taintedgrund1e it still does not work even if you switch to hold or toggle.

I tried keyboard and mouse and rapid flickering is happening there also. It happens when I try to choose an option from the wheel. It rapidly highlights and un highlights the option I am wanting. It looks like it is rapidly switching between what I am currently using and what the cursor is over.

Trying to select a weapon and the highlighted selection just flickers, making it almost impossible to select the weapon. Thought it might be the controller, so I swapped controllers and it still happened. Noticed it was getting progressively worse as I was playing today (6+ hours).

It says "All game files have been successfully validated". I also noticed the problem will fix itself without a reason, but comes back when I fast travel. @ubi-mercury

@cskiller86 After some experimenting, I am 100 % convinced it has to do with weapons that you can change the rate of fire. Simply switching out the FAL in the pause menu can temporarily fixes the issue.

I have the same Problem with my PS5.

On XBox 1S (with default key bindings) I was able to work around this bug by using 'Y' to switch between my last used weapons when this bug appears. I do notice that even when that part is fixed, when selecting a weapon other than the one I am using to change its fire type (semi, burst, full) the wheel clicks back to the weapon I have equipped and the icon for the fire type I just changed is not the type I changed to but the one I changed from.

That backs up @septiva69 who suggests the fire type might be at the center of all these weapon wheel bugs.

I sent an email and video in after trying resets hard resets and even reinstall of game. Still after 40 plus hours of game Play and the new update the weapons wheel will not let me holster a weapon unless I get the timing right. Have tried all solutions here and even Sony tech support for the PS4 Pro says it a game glitch/bug as a result of the update. Seems only to happy to update a game a few days old with a new version yet causing a major issue when can't use any weapons and get swarmed by an army. Hopefully a fix is out in a day or two. Chat wheel works fine and that is not why I bought the game. I got it for the solo game and enjoy it buttons is making me think instead of all t he stars in game so far they [censored] on the playability on the new update. Makes me think about continuing purchasing any game from ubisoft in future and telling everyone I know not to buy their games when they have had a good track record before hopefully they fix this very quickly. Like by veterans day.

@screamhamster I'm having the same issue and no fix. Not even Sony could fix the issue when everything is current it a ubisoft issue and it sucks on PS4 pro. May not get anymore of their games and some good ones I own a whole series of not to mention far cry but this is enough to say no more and I have always bought the collectors edition for the games. Hopefully it fixed soon. This is just ridiculous and very poor game management. Makes cyberpunk 2077 release look smooth and on point.

@screamhamster Yes, same here on Series X, very annoying. Read that it could have to do with weapons for which you selected another firerate (single, burst, full)
