Is there anyway I could force my HUD to stay visible when entering different zones? I'm just kinda hating when I'm trying to see the things on my minimap and all of a sudden everything will vanish to show me what area I entered and then shows my HUD again. I just want it to be permanently visible.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hey everyone
Just reporting back with a quick update on the feedback we've received about zone transition text blocking HUD elements, including the minimap. Today's patch has made several adjustments to reduce how often this will happen. You can see the full patch notes in our announcement, here.
If you do try the new update, please let us know how you feel about the changes! We'll be happy to hear further feedback on this issue
I have a small suggestion that would be to stop making the entire user interface disappear every time we enter a new area, it's extremely annoying.

@mrbikerfr I fully agree.
It's just stupid. Whoever thought it was a good idea should seriously rethink that. The game goes for the slowdown when completing an objective, who in the world would think that was a good idea? It serves ZERO purpose and is just a massive annoyance. And these god awful huge popups when you loot rare materials in some slow annoying notification queue. Notification queues like that needs to burn... it's like it's some trend among game developers that honestly I can't see any players liking.
@mrbikerfr
100% agree. There are some places on the map where multiple regions converge so you just constantly get spammed with disappearing interface until you move away from that area.
It's really frustrating when I'm cruising along trying to get somewhere, and I'm using the mini-map to know where to turn to get to my waypoint, and every single time you cross into a new area it removes your HUD elements so I can't see where I'm supposed to be going. Especially since there are areas where this happens like 3 times in a row.
I poked around in the options and found the ability to turn off those notifications, and I thought "Cool! They thought of everything!". Except, not exactly in this case. I don't see the notifications, but it still hides all my HUD elements for the time that the notification would be displayed. If they're shut off, there shouldn't be any reason to hide the HUD.
Thanks for reaching out about this, @venusgreed - I understand your HUD is disappearing when switching zones, such that the zone text shows instead.
This isn't a setting we have available, but I've passed on your feedback about this.
Let me know if you have any further thoughts or questions, and have a good time in Yara
The fact that the hud vanishes even when the hud element that 'causes' it to vanish is disabled puts this firmly in the territory of a bug, not an 'unavailable feature'. The loss of all UI elements when traveling between regions was a bad design decision from the start and should never have survived past the first round of testing, let alone all the way to the final release. Please fix this issue Ubi, and maybe consider getting a couple of people who play these games to tune in about future 'features' before they are implemented?
When you are driving or on a horse and you pass into a new zone, when it tells you the zone, it covers the map and you can't see, which often causes you to miss a turn and have to go back. Which is rather annoying.
A good fix would be to move the name of the new zone to either above the map or to the right hand side of the screen.
This way you can still see the mini-map and if you have to turn or not.
Please look into this.
Every single time when traversing between areas, the game forcefully blocks 90% of the player controls in favor of showing a big notification of the new area we just entered, this can lead to extreme frustration at times, especially when getting caught in a fight against enemies or animals.. Ubisoft, remove the control blockade and make the notification pop-up smaller, just like in Red Dead Redemption 2 for example.
Please make this a priority, next to fixing autosaves locking players out of progress at times..
Did nobody playtest this before release? i can't think of any reason why such a frustrating thing exists in a big open world game to begin with. I really love far cry 6, but this just takes all the fun out of the game.
@catherinecat93 Also when crossing over regions it temporarily suspends your set waypoint. So I sometimes have to just stop moving until it reappears. Why would anyone care if you happen to cross to another region? I'm asking, as it happened in FC5 also. But less intrusively.
@hoonose2013 I never played FC5 (due to the enforced/missable story missions and random kidnapping), but i don't remember getting 90% my controls blocked when crossing between areas in any other far cry game.
This is (in my opinion) one of the worst, most annoying and frustration fueling design decisions in any videogame, taking away controls from the player in completely unnecessary situations where remaining controls over the character is important, such as gunfights etc. This can be somewhat avoided by not crossing borders near any enemies.. but continuously looking at the map or minimap isn't really a solution
whoever thought it would be a good idea to hide the minimap every single time you change zones needs to [Removed 25/10/2021 by @Ubi-Woofer]. its the most profoundly stupid design decision i have seen in the history of video games! what could possibly be worse than trying to deliver a vehicle to a destination when the minimap disappears nearly every single time you have to make a turn?
having fun otherwise.. but not even remotely joking, give the fool their pink slip. they have no place in the video game industry.
@megaflux1 I can't think of more grossly entitled nonsense than requesting someone be fired because of a game feature you're irritated by.
totally agree.
Why would I even want to know that I just crossed a region?
If I want to know where I am, I'm gonna check the [censored] map.
ALSO:
what is the [censored] point of being in 3rd person when you're in a camp???
unnecessary af

The fact you even wrote that you're not even 'remotely joking'. The level of your exaggeration with 'most profoundly', 'in the history of video games', 'what could possibly be worse' is simply laughable. What could possibly be worse? I bet a lot of people could name a thousand things that could be worse without even breaking a sweat.
This is such a bad design I dont know how it got past testing. Almost immediately I found when crossing borders if there is a turn quickly after you have no HUD which means no map and no GPS. I cant say how often I have to slam on my breaks and wait for my HUD to return to risk blowing right past my turn.
This is made worlds worse when you are in a gun fight and cross a border. God forbit you try to snipe from ontop of a hill that is on a border. Imagine trying to snipe and your HUD keeps going away and a message saying youre in a new area keeps blocking your view.
Its super annoying and honestly if you play for an hour youll witness how obnoxious it is. Please fix this. Just remove the location changes or make them only pop up the firs time you enter an area. Honestly just remove it all together. It doesnt do much for us.
This is what we see and its annoying as hell. https://www.reddit.com/r/farcry/comments/qaoqdy/hate_when_they_take_your_hud_away_like_this_in_37/
