I’ve been pretty lazy in getting around to report bugs, but I have seen this issue since TU 1.3.2 was rolled out and wanted to go ahead and report it. I have had a lot of success replicating this bug over and over, and it does not seem to matter with regards to distance to the boat. I am playing on my XBox Series X and have no technical or internet issues.
When I have Eivor take command of the boat and then fast travel before the actual taking of command, Eivor will then attempt to automatically run, jump, and climb to the boat, even if the fast travel point is far away. I have noted though that if Eivor gets into water or jumps into a hay pile, no further movement towards the boat occurs. If the player attempts to change Eivor’s trajectory, or performs another action, then the attempt to reach the boat is halted.
The video below provides only one example of showing Eivor trying to get back to the boat after a fast travel when the take command action was initiated, but Eivor stops when reaching water... maybe because swimming was not designed into the ‘take command’ protocol.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@thenorfolkian oh wow, I was shocked when my Eivor started moving on his own after fast traveling, but in my case he got stuck on a wall.
@bielik01 LoL... wow... I had not yet seen Eivor get stopped by an unclimbable wall. And I also did not notice the stacking... good discovery. I just tested that on my end and found that my Eivor would continue to try getting to the boat after fast traveling from a hay pile.
@thenorfolkian I tested it in between of Reda's quests. Finished the first quest, decided to test the glitch, got stuck on a wall, fast travelled to another viewpoint to start another quest, and Eivor would still run to the boat.
Hey,
Thanks for reporting this and both of you providing videos. I'll report this to the game team along with the links to the videos.
We'll let you know if the game team require any further information.
