How to use melee special abilities in ps4 ? Which keys to press, in what order, whether tap or hold these keys ? Can someone help me with a step by step guide ? Thanks.

Before you can use your abilities you need to unlock them, then assign them in the abilities tab. When assigning them you chose a slot that relates to the button on your controller, square, triangle, circle or x.
Your ranged abilities are assigned to the L2 button and the Melee abilities are assigned to the R2 button. So when you use your ability you will hold L2 or R2 then press the button on your controller that the ability is assigned to and that will trigger that ability.
Also if you hover over the ability in the ability tab it will show you a video clip of how the ability works and explains how to use it.
