@ribellu__ Oh, i know it didn't come from you! Apologies if it sounded coming off as rude! I know the community managers of ubisoft say 16GB, and ubisoft connect shows (>11GB Vram Required).. doesn't > mean less than, or more than? i always get confused with this.
@catherinecat93 No worry.... Moreover my card at 11GB and RTSS gives me a value in 3840X2160 with the activated HD pack of 10GB maximum so my Vram is not saturated, and as I have already said previously I have already played some games which went beyond the 11GB of Vram and I did not have this problem of textures which do not load or not correctly.
@catherinecat93 Do you have Fidelity Super Resolution 1.0 on? My XML doesn't seem to save this setting and I have to turn it on every time I start the game. This then overwrites and erases your edit. If you can post that part I can put it in
That doesn't seem to show up in this file at all, and there is a bug where super resolution gets disabled on every game launch.. same happening to me, unfortunately.
Set gamerprofile.xml to read only after you are sure you changed all the settings you wanted, including the texture lines with mip0 if you wish, and it shouldn't remove the line anymore. Just keep turning on AMD's Fidelity Super Resolution each time you start the game until ubi fixes it
@catherinecat93 Ahh ok, so that's a bug. I thought it was me. Problem is if I go in and turn it on, it overwrites the file.
Hello.
Now, I have drivers nvidia 471,96.
Game setting - All Ultra but shadow and fog high, DXR ON RT ON, Texture Pack HD - OFF.
The game works fine 1080P with DSR NVIDA to 2140p.
Previously Nvidia drivers 472/12 caused Texture Blurring with the same settings.
Geforce 3070, Core(TM) i7-10700KF CPU, 16,0 GB RAM, Dysk SSD Gaming ADATA
@zenplayer8 I mean in the grand scheme of things no. It's ubisoft after all, but if enough players complain about it they will have to do something... Your comment is really not adding anything to the conversation.
@croowen I was replying to the guy who said "And? Do you think ubisoft cares about it?" on my initial comment not your comments.
So, all of the above fixes sofar have been a bust for me, now i dont have a fancy RTX or a gaming computer, but i have a decent i7, a Geforce GTX970 and plenty of RAM. So minimum specs i do have. Still anny settings regardless dont take away blurry/unfocused textures from specific parts. These are guns, armor parts on clothing, tatoo/dirt on the skin, all Supremo's and some world textures like tree trunks. Now from what i can see its almost like some sort of DOF or depth perception being applied regardless of distance to the object, where low res textures are loaded instead of the hd one. So basically placeholder preload textures.
Now i dont have the option to turn ON DXR, so it should be off by default (ray tracing) cause my vid card/ rig just doesn't support it. So as far as i know, that shouldn't be a problem. I tried tweaking NVIDIA 3d settings, same thing doesn't help.
Only thing i can do now is hope a patch finally fixes it cause i would be fine with just having decent textures instead of these placeholder ones. Also, why is this issue not listed in the "Reported issue Megathread list"? Is it not important enough like the one solved issue that just happens to be the micro-transaction store issue? Really shows priorities right?
@mobilehavoc Well, it was worth a try i guess. A shame it didn't work out.. let's hope ubisoft actually fixes it..
I am having the same issue as well, like sometimes I load the game and everything looks nice and loading in properly. Sometimes I load in and a lot of textures are not loading in. I tried many things including turning off HD textures but to no avail. Sometimes it looks like I'm playing FC6 sometimes it looks like I'm playing fallout 4 on medium graphics. Not entirely sure what's causing it. I'm running i7 8700k, 32gb ram RTX 2070 super and the game is on an SSD.
Everyday I look and see if there was a patch update or something that has fixed it, but nothing as yet. I really hope this gets resolved...
@catherinecat93 I have found a temporary workaround until Ubisoft fixes this properly for my setup that seems decent if you want to try.
Change these values in your XML then set it to read only to avoid it being overwritten. This only works with DXR Shadows AND Reflections OFF for me but YMMV.
I am running the game at 4K HDR with Ultra everything, Resolution Scale 0.8, FidelityCas On, SuperResolution off. I just played two whole missions and I had crisp/sharp textures the whole time - this means fast traveling, air drops, changing weapons lots of times, tons of stuff going on with no issues. For the first time I actually saw what my guns look like with detail lol.
If it gets blurry I believe you can just close and launch the game again. Good luck everyone.
My values:
AllowAsynchShaderLoading="0" VrsParticleBufferEnabled="1"
Thanks Ubisoft, another fine example going forward how you have bowed to AMD ( Money says HI ) and botched/borked the HD Textures to only work on AMD cards aka 16GB versions, I can see no reason why you have gone this route as lets be honest PS2 textures for the rest is a little [censored] practice, I'll grab the game around xmas, should be in the £5.99 bin by then.
