@ubi-viral please do, I would love to play siege but because of siege's size I cant run it on the windows I dual boot for school programs. I've had a very strong urge to play since swapping to linux but changing my partition size isn't worth the pain
Thank you for listening
+1, would greatly appreciate being able to play on Linux. Sucks having to reboot into Windows just to play this game. Proton should already support R6 quite well too, largely just a matter of getting BE support!
@ubi-viral
adding proton support on linux would be great, I'm looking forward to see if I can play R6 on a steam deck
Another vote for full Proton support, would be awesome to no longer have to dual boot Windows just for one game.
Siege is the game I miss the most since swapping to Linux and I would love to play again.
I dualboot every so often to play these games that are windows only, but I'd appreciate if it would be possible to siege without dualbooting. And given it's such a simple implementation, I see no harm.
I would love Linux support. I've been waiting for steamOS 3 to release for me to switch off of Windows 11; if there's no Proton support for R6S I will regretfully stop playing it at that time.
R6S will not prevent me from switching off windows, but it would be nice if that just wasn't a factor at all
@ubi-viral I would love to buy this but haven't had a working windows desktop in years. It would be great if someone on the dev team could send the message to BattleEye support to have them enable the BattleEye proton support. BattleEye have said that this message is all that's needed and they will handle the rest as far as getting BattleEye working on linux goes.
Linux (proton) support would be a really good move for siege, but I understand if it takes a while. It can take time to test and make sure its not less secure than the windows version. I bought the game when I was still using Windows and played some. Now I can't play it because it doesn't work on Proton or Linux.
@Ubi-Viral Would be definitely grateful if you enabled proton support for R6 siege. It's been a while since the linux gaming community were begging for this to happen.
@ubi-viral the only reason I don't play is because I don't use Windows. If support was added for proton, I'd finally be able to play again
Pls turn on proton support
Throwing another hat in the ring for Proton support. The only reason I've avoided the game was because of it requiring Windows. Committing to Proton support gets you a day one buy from me.
