I get a this yellowish tint around Eivor, as seen in the pic, that seems to happen when I equip certain armors, seems like all the armors I've gotten so far as rewards from trading with Azar it shows up on. It does not happen with the Raven clan armor. Is this suppose to happen with certain armors, and if so how do you get rid of it? it's very jarring and ugly and annoying. or is it a bug?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@jimmywon34 I have this happen as well. It goes away when I interact with people (shops, dice or drinking games, or for cutscenes) or reload the save file. I only wear a couple of sets, but I see it occur the most when I equip the Dublin Champion set. I want to say I've also seen it happen with the Celtic set, but I can't recall for sure at the moment.

    @brotinn is it intentional?

No it's not intentional, it's a bug from the Idunn Heart skill and it can happen when equipping any armor.

To stop glowing, talk to a NPC as suggested above or unequip an item and equip it again.

Hello jimmywon34, thank you for your post on this glowing outline issue.

I have a few follow up questions I would like to ask you please, so that I may report this >

    • Could you please list the exact names of armour/outfits equipped this affects?
    • Does it mainly happen to a certain type of armour/outfit such as cloaks, torso armour, gauntlets?
    • If you hide your outfit in the menu, whilst equipped, does the effect dissappear?
    • If you unequip the skill  Idunn Heart skill, does this outline disappear?

@ubi-milky I'd swear this has been brought up before, that you know of it, and even I told you all a week or two ago as well. So idk why you're bothering to ask him all that. It has to do with that skill... If you unequip ANYTHING that you've put a rune in that gives you more health... I have the health runes in my helm and I just tried it right now to make sure. It happens when you unequip said gear. Which makes no sense actually. That skill kicks in when you lose health. I take that helm off my health bar should still be full, just a tad lower in HP... It should kick in when I put it back on. Which i just did (put the helm back on), health bar grew, filled, but there was no glow at all once i re-equipped the helm.

@jimmywon34 thats a restore skill bug, just downgrade it in skill menu and get less annoying gold in game (as its everywhere)

@Azhrei21 sadly but support dont care)

@Azhrei21 - Any additional information that we can gather for the development team is useful, so this is why my colleague @Ubi-Milky has asked the above follow-up questions. The issue whereby the Idunn's Heart skill being equipped, even if inactive, causes a yellow glow is already known to us and under investigation. We will continue to provide updates as to the progress of the investigation as and when we receive new information to share from the development team. Thank you.

@afewscarsmore - I would like to reassure you that we do very much care about our players' experiences in-game in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and we're doing all we can to pass forward the bug reports shared here on the forums so that the development team can investigate these and identify fixes as much as possible! Thank you.

@ubi-milky so far i've seen it on the Rus, Egyptian, Iberians and Dublin Champion armors. Not sure about your second question, i usually just equip the whole outfit at the same time and that's when it happens, i'm not sure but i think it only happens when equipping the whole outfit. i'm not sure how to hide the outfit in the menu and I don't even know what Idunn Heart is, if its an ability I don't have it equipped, if it's a skill you spend skill points on, I didn't see it anywhere. Someone else has posted how to get rid of it in this thread, to unequip a piece of armor, then re-equip it. that's what helped me get rid of it, it'll come back if you switch to one of the armors i mentioned though.

It was reported in [Bug/Glitch] Idunn’s Heart Effect Active with Dublin Champion Set by @TheNorfolkian. Use search, that's what it is for.

@jimmywon34 - Thank you for providing this additional information, I've passed it onto the developers now. Idunn's Heart is an unlockable skill in-game, which you unlock from the Bear Tree of the Skill Tree. If you have another look at the skill tree and see it equipped, do let us know! 🙂

@Azhrei21 - Thanks for these specific details about your outfit. Is this the only one that you notice the effect on, or others as well?

@bielik01 - Thank you for sharing the link to this larger thread; I'd encourage the players from this thread to refer to it also. I would however like to issue a quick reminder to be polite and respectful of other players - sometimes it can be difficult to find the right terms to use to find an existing thread, so we do get duplicates from time to time that we merge! 🙂 I'll be leaving this thread separate for now, but may merge it later if the issue becomes more widely reported, as to establish a megathread.

@ubi-woofer yes i have it equipped, now i see it. unequipping that skill and the yellow outline goes away and doesn't come back until you equip that skill again. i also found some other armors it is happening on. it happens on the Raven armor, but not when the whole outfit is equipped, only when part of the outfit is equipped, like just the pants. I also found it happens on the Brigandine armor when equipping everything of that set.

I'm glad to hear that temporarily unequipping the "Idunn's Heart" skill has seen the glow disappear, @jimmywon34. I apologise for the inconvenience of this issue, and hope that we have an update to share soon as to when a fix will be implemented. For the moment, though, we have received no recent update from the development team.

I have passed forward the additional details you've shared pertaining to other outfits the issue occurs on for the team to refer to; thank you for sharing! 🙂
