    @ubi-borealis
My update is finished and the game is back to 1.3.1 and my saves are restored and no longer corrupted.

But I tested closing the game and restarting uplay. And then it started downloading 1.3.0 again 😞

    Hello there!

@SITEKS & @quanzaizai - Thanks for letting us know that you've been able to access your save files again following the additional update. Can you confirm that once the update has been installed, if you're able to close and relaunch Ubisoft Connect without another update being triggered? We'd like to check that no further updates are being pushed following a launcher restart. Please ensure that you manually save your game prior to closing the game and the launcher.

@inxcognito - That's certainly a large update! It looks as if Ubisoft Connect is installing all of the content again for you for it to be that size 🤔 Once the update has fully completed, can you let us know which TU has been installed, and whether your saves still show as corrupted or not?

@perkalainen - Thanks for sharing an update with us. I'm sorry to hear that Ubisoft Connect has triggered a rollback after closing the launcher. I've notified the dedicated teams that TU 1.3.0 is still triggered to install following a launcher restart. As soon as we have more updates to share, we will let you know within this thread.

    Thanks! 😊

I have found the "loop update" problem for my games on Connect it was report on the Anno 1800 forums something they did also like Valhalla team on the server.
    https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/106705/current-issues-following-tuesday-s-game-update-12?lang=en-US

I log on Valhalla today and didn't need to update my games now it shows the 1.3.1 I hope the update loop is gone!

But after the fix, I lost all my New River Raid save games and it's not listed after the Corrupt save so it seems I have to start all again. Thanks Ubisoft for a big server bug ever done😠

    Hello there!

@AORUS2017 - Thanks for sharing your report with us, and for including additional images. I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your progress in the new River Raid content. I hope you are able to swiftly recover this progress again. Just to confirm, have you been able to verify your game files? If so, can you confirm if no further updates are triggered after fully closing and restarting Ubisoft Connect?

@Lastdie - Thank you for providing us with all of the requested information, and for including those screenshots as well! You mention that the 26GB update is happening now. Has this completed? If not, please wait until the update has fully installed before relaunching the game to check if TU 1.3.1 has been installed again.

Once the 26GB update has finished installing, please can you launch the game to check if TU 1.3.1 has been installed, and if you can access your saves again. Once you have checked this out, please can you fully close both the game and the Ubisoft Connect launcher. After closing the launcher, please relaunch Ubisoft Connect to check if any further updates are triggered. If Ubisoft Connect tries to install another update after restarting the launcher, please can you let us know within this thread?

@quanzaizai - Thanks for sharing an update with us, and for letting us know that TU 1.3.1 remains installed on Ubisoft Connect following a launcher restart. If you are encountering any further trouble with your saves, or with updating the game, please don't hesitate to let us know!

    Thanks! 😊

This is happening like Watch Dogs Legion, an update is constantly downloading and installing, corrupting save data etc. This is clearly an ubisoft connect issue where it it keeps re-downloading updates. Now Valhalla is again downloading 26gb of update... I think it is 1.3.1 that is downloading, but I am afraid that closing ubisoft connect and then re opening it will try to install 1.3.0 again. Same issue happened with Watch Dogs Legion after the weekend, can we have an update when this issue will be solved? Clearing/removing the cache folder solve the issue? It did solve it for me for Watch Dogs Legion, so I will try to delete the cache folder again after the 26gb download is done, but please ubisoft support, can you look and repair the issue, this is happening since Monday!

@ubi-borealis Everything is working fine now! Yeah, I don't know why I had to download 116GB but it's okay I guess since everything is back to how it was last night.

My corrupted saves are fixed and all my progress I did yesterday in new River Raids is saved 😊 😊

@inxcognito If you restart ubisoft connect, doesn't download a new patch anymore?

    Ubi-Borealis

Last night I verify the files on all three games but no fix was needed, and I open a support ticket so I log out and log in but still got the update loop bug!, I log out of Ubisoft Connect last night at 1am because of the update loop on three games and shut down the PC, this morning I log on at 9:50am, and no update loop on Valhalla, Anno 1800, Watch Dog Legion so far the only thing I lost was the save game on new river raid not check the other game saves.

So what caused this to happen on the Ubisoft server?

This was also reported on Watch dog Legion

    Hello there!

@Sammarok - We're aware that there are download loop issues also occuring with other games, such as Watch Dogs: Legion. I'd recommend keeping an eye out in their player support forums for more updates about the download issue with Watch Dogs: Legion.

We'd like players to try restarting Ubisoft Connect once the 26GB update (TU 1.3.1) has installed to check if another update is triggered, rolling the game back to TU 1.3.0. We're currently trying to establish if the same download loop issue is affecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla following TU 1.3.1's release, or if this is a slightly different issue within the launcher. Some players have already confirmed that once TU 1.3.1 has installed again, they have been able to relaunch Ubisoft Connect again without any further updates for the game triggering. Would you also be able to confirm whether TU 1.3.1 remains installed, or if restarting Ubisoft Connect causes TU 1.3.0 to be installed to the game again?

@inxcognito - Thanks for the update! I'm glad to hear that you've been able to access your save files again following the large update. I'm glad to hear that no further updates are triggered once you restart Ubisoft Connect as well!

@AORUS2017 - Thanks for confirming that no further updates are triggered for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla after restarting Ubisoft Connect. We don't yet have any information to share from the dedicated teams on what may be causing this download loop to occur in some of our titles. Once we have any information to share, we will let you know within the forums.

    Thanks 😊

Same here, used this form for clarification, verifying or restarting doesn't seem to do anything about the save file corruption.
    *Sad panda emoji*

Which platform do you use (PC/PS/Xbox)?
    PC
When did you first start experiencing "Data Corrupt!" errors?
Just today, after finishing the first Assassination mission in Paris
Do you also receive the error "Failed to Save Game Progress?"
Yes, twice before, hence why I deleted some manual saves to make room.
Do you ever use rest mode whilst playing the game or do you always close the application first?
I don't use rest mode at all.
Does the issue still occur after closing the application and relaunching it?
Yes, it does. Verifying the files didn't fix it. Problems started occuring after installing the latest patch.
    How often does it happen?
    First time this has happened.
How much playtime (in hours) have you lost if any?
155 hours in. The only manual save I can load is before starting siege of Paris and the Beowulf questline, so about 10 hours back.
Do you own the expansions (Wrath of the Druids / Siege of Paris)?
I got Season Pass and all expansions are installed.
If so does this issue only occur whilst playing the expansion content or do you also experience it on other maps in the game?
For now it only occurs in the siege of paris. Haven't checked anything else.
Are you able to load your cloud saves successfully?
    No.
Does this error prevent you from creating/loading saves?
Don't know for sure. Scared that saving will delete even more progress, seeing as I only have 3 saves in total in the DLC in total.
How much space is left on your device from when you first received these errors?
    150 GB

@ubi-borealis PC, Its install 26.49Gb for 1.3.1 then reinstalls 11.88GB for 1.3.0 then rinse repeat, constant cycle of 26.49GB for 1.31 then 11.88 for 1.3.0 then start the 26.49GB 1.3.1 again getting rather ridiculous if you ask me.
