Unsolved unable to return to animus

so i have completed the story mode and it took me out of the animus. ive still got loads of stuff to collect but i get get back in to the animus. it says press Y but nothing happens. i paid for the season pass to play more story but i cant get back in so cant play more... can anyone help me please
