Moved Free Weekend doesn't work / Can't start the game / needs an activation?

Hi @ all.
I just tried to start the trial version for the free weekend. But the activation doesn't work.
Any ideas, what went wrong?

The User Interface in the game is not visible since this update. The top left bar and the top right bar in the game is invisible. The mini maps don't render the islands correctly.
I was hoping for a day of playing ANNO 1800....... -
Just bought it yesterday - today I get "this product cannot be activated right now" when trying to launch the game.

What is funny is if you google search my issue this happens on other Ubisoft connect/plus whatever games. And oh look, for that game it was also during a "free week." Hmm wonder what the common denominator here is. And I dont care, I am not playing free, I am paying for this service. Let me connect or give me access to someone who can help me!!!

The DLC crasht my savegame too. After the dlc all islands in the new world were empty again, only the ships were loaded. - the production for half a million people is gone. -
@laeron2000 interesting.. i managed to speak with someone in live chat and they told me to continue to re download and that was the best thing to do.. didnt work.

Also experiencing this issue. This afternoon I downloaded the High-life DLC and everything worked smooth so far. Now, I wanted to continue playing but the game doesn't render any text anymore. No text on the start menu, almost no text in the game. Very sad!

All support has come back to me with is "try newest version of Ubisoft connect." Guess what, didn't work. I know, a shocker.
