Unsolved Unable to progress in ‘Warlord of Melun’ mission

In the first mission when you get to Francia the character I was following got off their horse and became unresponsive to the mission. I didn’t have a save before that happened of course. Just want to make the issue known and wondering if it ha happened to anyone else. -
