[TU 1.3.0] Graphics and Lighting Update Looks Great!

I’m playing Valhalla on my XBox Series X in performance mode at 60FPS, and I have to say that one of the best improvements that TU 1.3.0 made to the game overall was the graphics and lighting update. If you take a moment to notice, you will see that there are more detailed graphics at greater distances than before, especially when looking inside buildings from far away. The game is much brighter with a pronounced bump in the vibrancy of the colors being used. Even the map is a lot easier to read and navigate. It’s almost like seeing the game in an enhanced photo mode. I also appreciate the fact that the development team took the time to change up the outfits and colors of enemies. Kudos!

I can’t say I noticed that, do you have before/after shots or has anyone made a comparison somewhere?
I really appreciate the new scaling options though and have it set on nightmarish! I wish it would add more enemies attacking at once and being more aggressive rather than just giving them more health (though the more damage they deal is good, could even be a little more), but it’s a massive improvement already. I’m not into masochistic games like super meat boy but I like a game to feel rewarding when you win a fight. That it took some skill not just button mashing, and that sometimes you have to take a more stealthy approach to succeed.
I hope in the future they might even add a further difficulty level that increased enemy patrol sizes and aggression (like have maybe three or four enemies attack simultaneously rather than just two), adds a scaling option that randomizes the difficulty level of groups, and maybe even within groups for the individuals. So some are at the region level others are 50 or even 100 levels above you. Sometimes it’s great to defeat a high level group and barely make it out, other times it’s great to feel like a god cutting them down in an almost cinematic fight sequence. -
@pesto Unfortunately, I never bothered with screenshots on my XBox because the game’s own photo mode was nice enough. Using an older video might not be effective either because of the post-processing and conversion done by YouTube. If you’re not noticing it, just take my word for it... I’ve played the game long enough to suddenly tell the difference after the update.
