    Hi,
    as described in the title, I can't finish the World Event "The Arrow in the Tree" in Hamtunscire. I fought the Lynx, got the arrow and heard the NPC shout for me to bring it to him. When I jumped off the cliff, however, the NPC was nowhere to be found. The Quest Marker is still there.

    I tried restarting the game, reloading, fast traveling to another area and coming back.Also tried finishing up the Hamtunscire-Arc and coming back, still no NPC.

    Any tips? I could probably provide my save file, just gotta find out how.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    @ubi-wheelyduck Hi again,
    While making the video for you, the issue resolved itself. Turns out, climbing back onto the cliff and doing another leap of faith from up there somehow respawned the NPC.

    Hello MichelCorner. Thank you so much for bringing this issue with 'The Arrow in the Tree' mystery to our attention! I'm sorry to hear that the NPC just up and vanished on you. Would you send me some screenshots showing this spot on your map, as well as the space that the NPC should be standing in? I also recommend running through these steps to see if they get that NPC to return to their spot.

    @michelcorner Thanks for the images provided.

    Before we can report this to the development team to be investigated we would need to know the Ubisoft account username that you use to play the game, as the account you have used to comment has no record of the game being played.

    @michelcorner Thanks for confirming your username. Have you tried again since installing the latest update that was released yesterday, 1.3.0? If not can you try and confirm if the issue persists.

    You could also try changing Eivor's gender as this has been known to work as a workaround for some quests that have experienced a bug. You can do this from the inventory screen. You could also try leaving the animus then return, that's another workaround that has been known to work.

    @ubi-keo Hi again, thanks for your tips. I updated the game and tried the workarounds, however, the Mystery is still bugged for me.

    Hey there,

    Thank you for following the steps suggested.

    So we can see this in much greater detail would it be possible to share with us a link to a video of this happening?

    Many thanks,

    @ubi-wheelyduck Hi,
    I honestly don't see the use of making a video of it? If you look at the Screenshot above, that's literally it. What would you want me to do in a video, stand and stare at the quest mark? I'm not trying to be snarky, just honestly don't see what a video of Eivor running in circles around a quest mark would add to this topic 😕

    @michelcorner Thanks for the update, I'm pleased the issue is resolved and you were able to complete the quest 🙂

    I'll mark your reply as the "correct answer" so that if any other players have this issue, they can try the workaround that worked for you. On our end, we'd also recommend fully exploring the mountain area if the NPC is not immediately visible, as during testing it was noticed that the NPC may stand a little distance from the marker itself.

    Thanks!
