Hello,

I have an unusual issue, but I simply cannot use the fishing line after building the fishing hut. I see the fishing line as a option, but when I try selecting it, it simply states "Not Currently Available." I've already tried:

• Verifying Game Files
• Restarting the game
• Removing any inventory items (Head, Torso, weapons, etc.)
• Switching from Xbox One X controller to Keyboard

The last time I was able to use the fish line was during a world event with Tarben that involved fishing, but this happened before I was able to successfully build the fishing hut.

I am a huge Assassin Creed fan.
finished all of the games so far with 100% achievements.

I have never seen so many bugs in one of your games in the past.

the one I am referring to right now is fishing.
I have played more then 30 hours in the game and decided to start fishing.
I have build the fishing hut earlier and talked to the kid... but no fishing rod or line or anything in the quick menu (PS4).
I have loaded the game many times, build new building in the settlement, upgraded it to a different level (from 2 to 3) and kept going back to that kid.
but its like I cant ask him anything besides "what are you doing in here?".
I dont have a fishing option like I should in the quick menu... nothing on the options to enable that unlike keyboard which you can assign a button.

I am VERY frustrated about the game so far since it has so many bugs I cant even count...
please any suggestions

@shod have you by any chance completed any Mastery Challenge?

@bielik01 I have not completed a mastery challenge fully yet, but the issue was happening prior to that update.

Unlocked the fishing hut and can't use fishing line at all. I've reset the game the console with no luck

When I’m near water or on a dock I open and hover over the fishing option and it says currently unavailable. I’ve upgraded the fishing hut in camp. I’m on PS5… no custom controls being used, everything is default.. I’ve reset everything and tried a different save file nothing fixes it… new update didn’t help either.

Update: Issue still exists. This weekend I plan on trying a few things and will follow up.

Following up:
This is what I was able to attempt over the weekend. Results unsuccessful.

• Uninstalled and reinstalled the game on Desktop PC
  • Used the same save game
  • Created a new game
• Installed game on Laptop
  • Used the Same save game
  • Created a new game

I am out of ideas and kind of disappointed. Is there something I am missing here? Is there any solution in the works for this?

I’ve been speaking with Ubisoft support. No fix, made many videos and sent info. They say they know about it yet it’s not in their thread for known issues…

Im playing on xbox one x and my game wont let me fish. Ive already built the fishing hut, but when i try to use the fishing line on the action wheel (near water of course) it says “not currently available”. The only time i was able to do it was with tarben. Im getting crazy

Creating a single thread helps us to keep all information and updates from an investigation in a single place. I apologise if any ongoing discussions have been disrupted by this merge.

The development team are aware of this issue, and they are currently investigating further. If you have been affected by this issue, can you please provide us with some additional information:

• When did this issue first occur? Was it immediately after building the fishing hut, or after carrying out another action?
• Have you been able to use the fishing rope anywhere at all?
• If you have any video footage which shows the issue in-game, please can you share it with us in this thread? This will be helpful for the ongoing investigation.

We can then pass these reports along to the development team for further investigation.

I’m so sorry, I didn’t see this discussion before. I’ll try to be more careful.
The problem started as soon as I built the fishing hut. I’m pretty sure I was able to fish with Tarben before doing so (which I found very weird), and when I built it and tried to fish it simply didn’t let me. It didn’t matter where I tried, England or Norway, land or boat, it says “currently unavailable”
I can’t upload any footage right now but I’m going to as soon as I’m able to.
