Quick Suggestions

    It’s kind of silly when returning to England from Ireland that you can’t access the trading chest back home in Ravensthorpe. What’s the point of an ‘Irish Outpost’ if there’s literally nothing to do there after the first time you go to Ireland. It’s even particularly silly that after you come back and visit the outpost, Azar asks if you’re ready to go to Ireland instead of being available to ‘buy’ trading goods. Even after completing Azar’s quest for revenge and fully upgrading all trade posts in Ireland, it’s kind of ridiculous that Azar doesn’t have any kind of surrogates or helpers in a trading network, much like how Reda has agents all across England to dole out a daily quest.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Good idea!
    I'd like to see that too. It could even be a different chest, with English goods instead of Irish ones, and the same reward system that you got when you've unlocked all the trading destinations making you able to convert leather, iron ore and other English resources into Silver. Would make sense really.

    @thenorfolkian I'd also say that the storages could get an extension (since I have some Irish Supplies leftovers), so that it could take a little longer to fill the chest.
    @ubi-keo, can I ask you to forward these suggestions?

    @torfinr Remember the naval trading game in AC Liberation? England could have a set of goods and resources that Ireland would want, and vice-versa. Throw in Norway, Vinland, and eventually France, and you’ve got a serious side activity that would require a lot of extra time. Imagine all of the trading supplies one would have to acquire to fully upgrade all of those possible trade posts.

    Now that I’m thinking about it further... it would be even more engaging if all these trading resources had other uses besides being traded and sold for silver. What if you needed to use certain goods to upgrade your settlement buildings even further, or increase the renown of a trading city beyond the maximum level to unlock upgradable ‘mastery’-type bonuses? Upgrading settlement buildings and renown beyond the maximum level would do something more than the mere opportunity for the feast buffs on our Eivor. What if these ‘mastery’ buffs unlocked bonuses like damage and health buffs for Jomsvikings, higher rewards for River Raids, price discounts at shops and stables, and so on... It would really make Valhalla feel more cohesive.

    @thenorfolkian Great ideas and suggestions.
    The potential is huge. Let's hope the developers will include things like that, it would lengthen the life of the game by several years and prove that Ubisoft can listen to its fanbase.

    @ubi-keo Do you know if there is any feedback from the developers about the above noted suggestions? I don’t expect stuff like this to happen soon, but it would be nice to know if they would consider it for a future expansion. Thanks.

    @thenorfolkian btw you know it's possible to consult chest status from Ravensthorpe? There's a map just behind Azar in her hut.

    @bielik01 Yeah, I did know that, which is what inspired me to make this whole topic in the first place. However, having to go all the way to the Irish Outpost just to check on the trading goods count isn’t any faster than simply going to Ireland and getting what’s there in the first place. Hence the practicality of having more to the outpost in the first place.

    @TheNorfolkian great suggestion i thought this as well since they are exotic goods I thought I would be able to bring them over and sell them for silver in England. They could add merchant ships with upgrades for storage.
