i can create a game and my firend can see it in the multiplayer lobby. but if he wants to join their is always the same issue. connection is not possible. we tried it ingame and we tried it with ubisoft conect.
any tipps`?

We can set up a 1 v 1 game OK, but each time we start we get about 20 mins in and it crashes with a 'disconnected' error message. Has anyone got a fix?

Given how buggy (sound keeps not working) and limited the base game is (short production lines, limited gameplay strategies, etc.) we need multi-player to work, to justify the cost (I pre-paid. so am also not impressed that it is already on sale...)

Like it says in the title, one of the most important things, preventing settlers 7 from having a community, comparable to the other the Settlers titles, is a real map editor - and I don't mean the rubish map forge "editor" in which you can customize ressource count, victory points etc..
As in the Settlers 4, 5 and 6, where the map editor allows a lot of mappers to keep the community alive with new maps and customizability, this feature is still missing in Settlers 7, even in the history addition (where the argument, that people wouldn't buy the dlcs anymore, doesn't hold, since everything is included in the HE version).

I think even a paid addon would be accepted from the community. Furthermore, there has to exist a map editor already, that was used by original developer team, so it shouldn't be to much of work to publish a version - at least an inoffical one - of the real map editor.

So: why does there still not exist a real map editor for the Settlers 7?

Game skirmish drops out all the time and we are playing in the same room. Think i wasted my money. Don't no why they put out a broken game.

I have just bought settlers 7 history edition on steam, but can't find my friend inside the game, can't even open the invite page ? how to play mulitiplayer then ?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to run The Settlers 7 History Edition and everytime I boot the game it asks for my Password (dont mind that but that is strange for a game that I brought as part of the History Collection, and yet no other games ask for my password), and then when the game 'tries' to start it comes up with this error (see attached picture) I have tried MANY different ways of fixing it (updated graphics card driver, uninstalled and reinstall, restart system ect) and nothing is working.
I did raise this with Ubisoft Customer service but not heard back from them yet, and wondered IF anyone else has had this issue and found a way to fix it.

EDIT - I can play other Settlers games but this is the only one that doesnt run and comes up with this error.

As per title. All Settlers games had full Polish localization when they were first released (even those originally published only on the German market and not present in the Collection, such as "Aufbruch der Kulturen"). It's disappointing to see Ubisoft ignore players from Slavic countries by neglecting language support.

me and my friend have some problems with Settlers 7. I purchased the history Edition on Ubisoft and he has the Gold Deluxe Edition on Ubisoft aswell.
In the menu of the game I can't access the ingame friends section and there is no sign that I can play online. On his menu he has access to ingame friends and in the upper right corner
there is a symbol that says he is online. He sees Servers from other players and can connect to random lobbies. I tried to connect my account with steam but nothing changed.
I posted 2 screenshots. The first one is that of my friends game and the second of mine. If you compare those two you can see the differences I described.

Have not been able finish one online game yet.
What a great start 0-10 with a 100% dnf.
Was there a beta? Why did I just pay 60 bucks for a game I can't even play without crashing. Is there a fix coming? What was the last patch for now my online game don't even last 2 min. Will be asking for a refund.

I have just bought the settlers history compilation of games and downloaded settlers 7. Initially it started but would not run propperly so I verified the download files and fixed the errors. Now it won't run at all, It closes itself before even reaching the title screen. Settlers 7 which i had previously still runs no problem. I have checked to make sure my firewall allows it through, checked to make sure that there are no connection issues and there is nothing else running. Anyone got any ideas?
