I understand that Ubisoft Connect has been designed in such a way where it requires multiple UAC requests in order for it to read/write to the Windows registry/directories for whatever reason. However, the practice of giving elevated privileges to a process is often frowned upon. For example, a rogue process recognizing that Ubisoft Connect will consistently ask for elevated rights may attempt to piggypack off this behavior and issue its own request for elevated rights via UAC in between such requests, obfuscating the attempt in UbiSoft's own client requests.

Understanding that games and even launchers need to ask for additional rights when installing binaries and writing to the Windows registry in the "system" protected areas such as when games are newly installed. Combined this with the fact that Steam, Origin, Battle.net, Xbox, EA and event GOG Galaxy clients do not ask for so many UAC requests to be approved - I just had 6 of them pop up in succession. Steam on its own asks for none on a game startup unless the game requires to be started via Ubisoft Connect.

Can I ask how we can help influence Ubisoft to re-architect its connect client so it does not do this in future versions? Asking once is better than 2-6 times. Asking once and then firing off processes with the elevated rights is probably the best way to handle a disjointed decoupled client architecture. Who can I direct this to so it gets some attention?

bought a ubi game on steam couple days ago and needed me to install ubisoftconnect but every time i try to login i get this message "Connection Lost...There seems to be a problem with your Internet connection. Please check your settings or switch to offline mode."
i tried every thin i know using vpn, changing dns, network reset. re-installing ubi connect
i dont know what to do pls help

I recently tried to update my profile picture from the old art I was using of myself, but due to an update I'm no longer able to use custom avatars. This is an absolutely terrible decision and I'm so upset! I got some new art commissioned just to use as an icon and now I can't use it on the game I play the most.

This is honestly a terrible idea and I'm really unhappy with the change.

I know some people might abuse the system to upload graphic/inappropriate profile pictures, but thats no excuse to diminish the experience of normal rule behaving users like myself and my friends. Especially since all your avatars are just. Dull, Boring, Unimaginative, Not customisable at all, Too visually busy, From games I don't care about. This isnt old Xbox live, I should be able to choose a profile picture for myself based on ME not bloody ubisoft products I don't give two [censored] about. Now streamers cant change their profile picture in game to update branding, and normal folk like me can't be individual.
This will not combat toxicity in game. If you really want to combat toxicity within the game, add an option to report profile pictures. THATS IT. If someone has one that is explicit then it can be reported and its fine. If not (like mine) then I can continue to be happy with art I have purchased.

I will never use the ones you provide, and likely nobody will.

Every time Connect is applying a patch I need to enter my admin password 5 times. It constantly pops up and asking for it. Steam and Epic get this solved within one routine. Not sure what kind of problem this is but it is annoying. Basically bad coding...

This is a complete fail and trash.

Conclusion: do not even dare force us to this new version, I repeat: THIS IS A COMPLETE FAILURE. Immediately fire people who are responsible for it and who "want to prove themselves". Why change something that is good and works well!

I ve just installed the Heroes of M&M 3 on ChromeOS and it runs perfectly if like a PC game.

I was wondering if Ubisoft can make an Ubisoft Launcher for ChromeOS and optimized for ChromeOS

I wanted to change my Ubisoft profile picture to my old one after having to verify it because of an R6 tracker. Which is not an issue, I thought.
When I was done with it, I no longer had the selection anywhere that I could upload my custom pfp, no message that it wouldn't work afterwards or anything like that. A note would have been enough, then I would never have changed it in my life. 

I can understand that some choose suspicious and toxic PFP, but there are enough programs that can filter out something like that, someone I know programs something like that, so it certainly shouldn't be because of that mean while there are no options against toxic profile pictures. 

That we were first given the option to choose our own custom profile picture and then it was just changed, it's not a nice change.

I have seen another post about this already, but I'm making one about it to make it even more well known. Me and most likely many other people are unhappy at the fact that custom avatars were removed. I was renaming myself to this beautiful name "Vectorfrominion" and was setting up a profile picture of the beautiful, gorgeous, SEXY Vector. And when I was trying to change my profile picture, I saw no option to upload a custom one, but because I am currently running off of about 20 or so hours of no sleep, I just picked an avatar and moved on hoping there would be an option to upload a custom picture before I confirmed. There wasn't. So instead of having my pfp actually, y'know, MAKE SENSE TO MY NAME I now have an incredibly boring picture of Pulse. It's just so BORING and has no customization. Another thing that came from the post I mentioned earlier, was that they were removed for "Inappropriate pictures" or something. I understand that. But 90% of people have pictures that are completely fine and are essential to make a joke in their username just that little bit funnier. Just make a button to report the pictures if someone finds one that is inappropriate. I can see how it would be a lot of work to put it together and maybe to go through all the profile pictures, but please, it would make us all so happy. Just bring them back.

There is no notification of achievements/challenges in Ubisoft Connect. Since some years.

I have read about this topic in many forums. When will this option be fixed?

The user experience is very bad as there is no notification of achievements/challenges.


Problem:

Ubisoft Connect does not notify ingame of the achievements/challenges obtained.
No sound, no popup or anything.

To find out what achievements/challenges you got you need to exit the game and check the Ubisoft Connect app.

Played 3rd heroes and decided that a Heroes RTS-type game would be a hit.
All units/buildings are ready, just form the conception, write good scenario and clone cc/wc/sc series.

Or ub_ doesn't own the title anymore?
