last week I bought the Anno 1404 History Edition while traveling, played on my laptop and got pretty far into the campaign and gained some achievements for my profile. After returning home I now also installed it on my gaming PC to continue the campaign, but after opening the game it just gave me a completely new profile and also no savestates. Are the profile and saves of Anno 1404 HE really not cloud synchronized (anymore) with my Ubisoft account? That would be quite a shame after it was technically released only 3 years ago. Since I'm traveling quite often, it would be too much of a hassle to always manually transfer the profile and save files from one PC to another before leaving.

I already tried to tick/untick the cloud-saving-option, but that didn't change anything. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for your help in advance!

normalerweise bin ich mac user und habe diese Woche die History Collection entdeckt. Da ich eher negative Erfahrungen bzgl. Mac/Windows gelesen habe, würde ich mir einen Windows PC wieder zulegen. Am liebsten aber eine recht kleine Version in Form eines Mini-PCs. Auch Windows 11 soll bei der Anno & Siedler History Collection laut Foren nicht so laufen. Leider haben viele Rechner bereits Win11 vorinstalliert.

Als Grafikkarten werden AMD bzw. Geforce Karten empfohlen. Da ich schon länger aus dem Windows-Game raus bin: Denkt ihr, dass folgende Rechner ausreichend wären?

ich bekomme nur kurz das Startbild von Anno 1602 angezeigt, dann passiert nichts mehr.
Neustart von Rechner ist keine Lösung.

I was trying to start a multiplayer game through Internet in Anno 1404 Venice of Anno 1404 History Edition, but the game was stuck at "Creating Session... Please wait!" for apparently too long; I can access the local network multiplayer game setting menu, but the Quickmatch are broken too, when you try to do a Quickmatch, the background only become dimmer and no menu or note popped out.

Hello, so yesterday I wanted to continue on my achievement run in Anno 1404: Venice and when I started the game, after loading the transactions, the game said that authentication failed and would not log me into my online profile and that I should write my password again. Unfortunately, even after using the exact same password for the corresponding e-mail address and the Ubisoft Account it still would not let me in.

Fixes I tried (not in order):
Disabling antivirus.
Changing the password.
Using the legacy username.
Using the e-mail.
Downloading the profile.
Creating a new profile.
Creating a new online profile.
Restarting the game.

Is there any way to retrieve my achievements and advancements?

ich habe mir die Anno History Collection gekauft. Anstelle einer CD lag im Case nur eine "Aktivierungskarte" mit einem Aktivierungscode bei.
Darauf stand, dass man den Uplay-Client installieren muss, den man dann auf dem PC startet und oben links auf den Menü-Button klickt. Dort kann man dann "Key aktivieren" auswählen und dann im
Eingabefeld den Aktivierungscode für das Spiel eingeben kann.
Da es ja aber kein Uplay-Client mehr gibt, musste ich mich auf Ubisoft Connect anmelden. Dort habe ich jetzt einen Account, aber ich finde nicht das Menü, wo ich den Key aktivieren kann.
Wer kann mir da weiterhelfen?

Im german, so sorry if my english isnt that good.
I played 1404 casually a lot, but afair there was a counter shown in the diplomacy menu, where you can look how many ships you already have scuttled/killed. Did the 1404HE change something about the ships needed (30/50/70) or is the counter just hidden? Where I can look now how many corsair ships I already scuttled?

I have an issue with the sound effects. Music and Intro are playing without issues at all. I tried to test the sound under settings and test, there is no audio. I have a miniPC extra for "old goldies" with an integrated graphics card. (Asus Prime B450M-K II - AM4)
On my other PC (RTX3090) the game is running with sound effects.
Also tried to download the Patch 5, installed it, but could not start the game. "please insert original Anno CD"

Can someone please help me?

So I was playing Anno 1701 (History Edition) recently and I noticed quickly that when I saved my game, and then tried to load it (for example after restarting the game the next day), I constantly get an error that it could not find the file. The save files are there though, as I get them listed when going to "load game" and I also found them in the supposedly correct folder on my laptop. It does not matter how old the save is: a save from 2008 gives the same error as a save that was made mere moments before. As long as I don't quit the game and don't quit to main menu or desktop, I can play my save but the moment I have to quit, I can't load it back in.

EDIT: I barely visit this forum so I hope I see an official response on time but my apologies in advance if I may take some time to respond ^^.

My friends and I have been putting countless hours into the game, we really enjoy playing, but have ran into an issue lately, when we load into our saved game, its haveing data collection issues then after recovering. Its making us restart our game, any ideas how to fix or is it an ubisoft issue?
We have verified files, made sure our computers reach the requirements etc.

how can I change the save game location for the games?

Currently it's:

C:\Users[USERNAME]\Documents\Anno xxxx History Edition\

I don't like it that my "Documents" folder is littered for every game of this collection (it's the same with the Settlers History Collection).

We are forced to use "Ubisoft Connect" which already has a folder for save games (that also can changed in the options), why is this not used then? I don't understand, it's a bad idea to use the "Documents" folder.

A friend and I just started playing this. I have more RTS experience, he had none, but I can't figure out how in the world to build storehouses. Our warehouses are full and we can see where it suggests building small storehouses, but these are not in the build queue. I have searched the Wiki and other websites where storehouses are referred to, but none of these explain how to build them.

Are these something that are available only after reaching a certain point in the game, like having the town upgraded? This would not seem a good idea because the warehouse fills up very quickly. The game makes it appear that building small markets will help but they don't really appear to, unless I need to build a lot of them.

Please help us over this small hump.
